Whatever you want. Oblivion is all about making decisions and making your character live the life you want him to. If you're talking about the main quest then go to Weynon Priery outside the city of Chorrol.

The journal will be ur best friend, just highlight the quest u wanna do and an indicator will show up on ur map. I rushed the main storyline just so I could get busy with the exploring afterwards, the story I think is so thin that it should be taken in all at once to get something out of it.

Well you probably want to follow the main quest for a little while till you get the hang of the game. But Look around in your Journal thing (B) and use the triggers to nav and figure things out. Also if you look on your map you can fast travel by using the cursor on a landmark and hit A, it beats walking everywhere. But there is so much to do its mind blowing. And if your still stuck, look up the guide on Game Spot its under cheats I think. Good luck!

gamespot has a pretty good guide you can download, just type oblivion in the search bar and the game's page and review will be one of the listed titles, scroll down to the guide. You can read it online or download the pdf file. Have fun it's a good game.

ok well if i were you buy the oblivion strategy guide its really good only 20 bucks i have it, it tells you what to do for EVERY quest, where to find Items, What loot you will get and what not. First thing your def gonna wanna do is go to the imperial city arena. That will get you used to fighting, earn you some cash, and get your level up. Then you can ether do some side quests, guild quests or the main storyline. But whatever you do, dO NOT BEAT the main storyline until youve done everything eles. The first thing i did was beat the main storyline. After that i lost all my motivation or care to do any of the guild quests. My suggestoin Do the arena first, then bassed on your character class if a fighter do fighters guild, mage mages guild, stealth theifs guild then darkbrootherhood guild. Then when you get to level 20 or higher start doing daedric quests to get cool enchated items. The guilds are located in every city except the imperial city. Just ask a gaurd and he will tell you where to go. just save the main story line for last and if you do a guild stick to that one guild until you beat it so you can remeber the storyline for that guild other wise if your trying to take on all the guilds and the main quest at the same time you forget whats happening. Aslo the guilds will give you good gear to take on your main quest making it easier.

I'd recommend going to the Arena in the Imperial City. You can level up like 3 levels if you do it all in one go. You earn a bit off gold aswell.
