Im doing a side quest and i need to pick a average lock( the one with 3), but i dont noe how 2 pick locks...i can only pick it when there 1 tumbler lol
Can some1 plz tell me how 2 pick locks? btw i have 12 security is that enough
no its definatley not. BUT. You can buy spells for that stuff it need be but that is for wimps. First join the theives guild. Buy 100 lockpiccks from your fence (the guy you sell stolen stuff to) and practice. You can also go to a argonian named City-Swimmer that lives in Bravil (I think) Buy some securiy training from him. Then get yourself into the dark brother hood (kill a couple innocent people thena messenger will appear when you are in a safe area) Do the missions until you get the shrouded armour. The armour will give you +10 security and a bunch of other stuff. To pick locks you have to time your flick up and your pressing of the A button. When the tumbler hits the top tap A and it should hold in place. good luck.

When the tumbler hits the top tap A and it should hold in place. good luck. you also get a black band ring thats increase the security skill, and when you have reach level 7 or 10 or somthing like that you can get the skullkey that never breaks..
for some reason, i found my security went up greatly when i auto-picked all the time, my security level now is in the green at level 14. my advice is just buy loads of lockpicks and keep auto-picking
Just save your game before you attempt any lock and go from there. If you run out of lockpicks, then just reload your save game. Works great. As far as tips for actually picking a lock, never press on the first "flick". Get the timing down first and then press after that.
