i have a bunch of items worth 3-4 or even 12 grand but the highest gold limit ive found at a shop is 1200. Is there a way to raise this other than reaching expert or master in mercantile skill? And which store has the highest gold limit?

Make a spell of fortify personality on self 100 x 2 secs + fortify mercantile on self 100 x 2 secs + charm 100 x 2 secs on target. That spell is easy and cheap and allows you to invest in stores like if you have lvl 100 mercantile ;).

I personally call it "Jedi Mind Trick".

The best merchant of the game is inside of the Dumbarrow Cove or The Thieves Den, you must pay for download this add on. But is usefull, you can invest in the store and obtain 2000 golds in the merchant.

I'm sort of new to Oblivion, so I need to ask you something. How do you "make" spells?

I think you have to get into that school of magic place in that main town (I would be more specific but i haven't played in a while). To get into it you have to go to all the other smaller towns and finish the quests in the mage guild things. Also, i think this took me a couple of days. But, once you get into it you can even enchant your own items and weapons! You don't have to be a mage to do it though, just do the little quests in each town.

Well The Elder Scrolls IV is the best, longest, complex game. So nothing is too easy or short to explain. And as you can read my english is not good.
Instead of write i bible of spellmaking for you i will give something much better

Check inside this link into the "Magic" section.

That is the best web about The Elder Scrolls universe available and is free, this must help you a lot in your first steps in Tamriel and maybe after you become the Champion of Cyrodiil too.
Safe travels!

Oh thanks. (By the way, I'm not VERY new, like at the beginning or something, but I just don't know everything about Oblivion yet. I think I'm level 7, so I know a little bit about it, but not a bunch. ;))

This is what I found without out the added d/ls:

Most merchants will offer 1200 septims at most but if your Mercantile skill is master the merchants will offer you to invest 500 septims into their shop giving you a total of 1700 septims the next time you want to sell. With the Vile Lair or Thieves Den d/l you get a merchant who sits on the steps of Wawnet Inn who starts off with 2000 septims with the option of 2500(500 invested).
