He loves shooters and rpgs, so I am not sure what I should get him.

Reasons to get Call of Duty 4:

Loves FPS

Loves online multiplayer

He likes games with a lot of replay value since he gets games very rarely(once or twice every 2-3 months)

Reasons to get Oblivion:

Loves RPGs

Loves single player more than multiplayer(Espeically long engaging stories)

This game has tons of replay value

Cousin has thousands of marketplace points to spend

Already has Halo 3 for online satisfaction

If he's more into single player than Oblivion is the way to go. You will get extensive hours of game play with Oblivion.

Oblivion - Game of the Year edition will guarantee hours and hours of gameplay. If he loves rpgs, there's no doubt this is the best choice. It has amazing visuals, great music and sound...it's one of the most memorable moments I've had in gaming.

Personally, Oblivion is one of my all-time favorites.

Oblivion for sure. Only thing that keeps call of duty fun after 2 weeks is if your in a good active clan. Hell, that's the only reason I've played it as long as I have.

You ever hear of the fast travel option? If you've been to a location, you don't have to always travel the entire distance...you can fast travel by clicking the location on the map.

Besides, exploring the land of Cyrodill is an amazing experience.

When I finally "beat" Oblivion my game play time clocked in at about 67 hours. Even after I have gotten shivering isles and have done a ton of side quests and my gameplay time is around 90 hours now. This game will keep him busy if he rarely gets games thats for sure, and it is my all time favorite RPG, possibly even my favorite game while it lasted. I even have reason to play it again sense I beat half of it before I got my XBL gamertag so I only have about half of the achievments. (I wouldn't reccomend your cousin to do this though, im going to have to get highly motivated to restart this game lol.)

Yeah so get Oblivion GOY all the way man.

I've played both for a while now. I personally would want CoD4 and if I had to choose, CoD4. They are both really good though, its a win-win situation either way. If I were you though I would tell him not to get the horse armor pack or the spell tomes from the XBL if you get him Oblivion.

its quite simple if he wants tonnes of playing time then go Oblivion game of the year edition, if the multiplayer means more then 200++ hours of game play then go for the COD 4 thats what i have to say. Oblivion best RPG EVER down rite great.

COD 4. I've played both and to me COD 4 is better. BUt it really depends on personal preference. If hes looking to play with other people than COD4.

COD4 is the best FPS, and Oblivion is the best RPG, but if he likes Single player better, Oblivion will last him 200 hours while COD4, 6 hours. (Unless you beat it on Veteran, then it'll take you longer)

I chose COD4
