I just rented Forza Motorsport 2, and I suck at it. I have never owned a Sony system so I have never played Gran Turismo, and I have never owned any realistic racing games, only things like Mario Kart, Midtown Madness, etc. So I need some help on the basics of a racing game like Forza. For example, I cant turn for crap. I need some help lol

You can turn the racing line all the way on. Its a good way for people to learn, it pretty much tells you what to do. When the line is yellow, slow down a bit for the turn, it its red break quickly from the outside and turn into the corner. When u are leaving the corner slam on the gas and go! The live really helps!

Use the arrow breaking guide that Forza has built in to help you. Thats the first step. And You can't go 100 mph around a corrner, you have to turn an break.

Unlike other unrealistic racers you need to slow down on the turns... alot you cant go around a turn at 100 miles per hour or youll crash just have the braker help thing on

its way better to break going into a turn and accelerat comming out of a turn, second the higher gear ration you have for acceleration gives your car better traction comming out of a turn this is pure fact.

Keep in mind that you can only use 100% of the tires grip. Trying to do several things at once, such as braking and cornering at the same time, divides the grip between the two actions and makes each action only partially effective. With practice you will learn how to judge the car and the turn to effectively divide the grip.

A good rule of thumb when turning is a few steps to remember in order...this is how i taught my girlfriend to turn in Forza and she does ok now.

Release gas, coast, brake, turn, coast, gas. Now the timing for each step will be different for each turn and be careful when accellerating after the turn not to hit the gas to hard to fast or you will loose traction.

And try those Nascar turns where you go from the outter turn to inner turn and back to outter turn at the end. Basically that's the optimal racing line. And don't over steer because you will slide. Use hand break for sharp U turns.magicalclick

nascar reminds me of a ceiling fan. just one big circle, all the cars are tuned to turn left... oh im sorry i mean an oval. lol

one thing i would reccomend is not using a crazy fast rear wheel drive car to start with. a front wheel or all wheel drive car is much easier to accelerate out of the turn with
