[QUOTE="bulletproofcow"]This is what happens in real life, not just with games. Your car will never be worth the same amount of money once you drive it off the lot, its how the economy works in a sense. Everyone loses money, not just gamers.KoRn_Eddy_88

not true your dad or grandfather who drove away with that 1969 camaro ss and kept it in mint condition is sitting on a gold mine...

Of course there are exceptions. A bottle of wine from years ago will go up in price with age because of flavor. When something is in demand, like a 69 camaro, the price will go up if its close to the condition it came off the lot. But your Volvo Wagon from 94 isn't going to be worth what you paid unless it becomes a collectors item. Its the same reason why a mint copy of something like FFVII is worth a lot right now, people want to play it.

check out www.mooch.com. it is cool, trade games with other gamers instead of getting ripped off.

That pretty much says it all.

Also my solution for saving as much of my cash as possible is to only buy games that I really want.

I only own 12 360 games because (other than 1 or 2 exceptions) I only buy a game if I know it's good and I know I'll like it.

If I'm not sure about a game I rent it.

This works very nicely.

More people should try doing this. You'll find you have a lot more money floating around.

[QUOTE="halo3fan18"]Some gamers think its O.K to buy a xbox 360 game for 60$ and trade it in for 15$? That loses 45$!I think its pretty dumb to do that unless you realy hate the game, or need the money. So if you still do need the money and you trade it in why did you pay so much for it just to return it and get less than what you paid for. Old news, we gamers lose money!Mabooza

Agreeeeed.

I agree. That's why I've never traded in a game. If I have a game I want to get rid of, I put it on ebay. You'll always get more money there than you will at your local Gamestop or EB. Used games are a huge business for the retailers...notice how they always ask you if you have anything to trade in when you step through the door? They make much more money off of used games than they'll ever make off of new games. Hell, if it weren't for used games they probably wouldn't even be in business.
