Am i the only one here that doesnt mind paying for DLC?

Even in the newest case of RE5... I dont mind.

If a company wants to release dlc and charge you for it, you know what, they should be able to.

They work hard and they need money too.

If you dont like it....dont buy it. Your not missing out on too much.

But in times like these where the economy is shxt all over the world,

the best way to help is to spend money.

Thats just another reason to help. Its not a lot of money.

And again, if you dont like it....dont buy it... stop crying..

Of course I mind. Developers are giving you less content for more money. You have to be braindead to think DLC isn't a problem with the game industry today. Another reason why I hold PC gaming in much higher regard to 360 gaming.

nobody is forcing you to buy it...
if its over priced and a waste, dont buy it.
If they didnt release it....it would be the same game experience as not buying it.
And one reason people feel "that should have been in the original release" is 'cause developers are pressured to release games "on time" before they are finished.
or people just dont have enough to complain about.

Nobody said I'm buying it. If they didn't release launch DLC, it means it would have been included in the original game. What you don't understand is that developers are taking a finished product, cutting out things that aren't necessary to the core game, and releasing them for extra cash. I think it's obvious that you haven't been gaming for long enough to properly consider the issue. If you want gaming to become a series of microtransactions and purchases - then good for you. You can shell out the extra $40 just to have alternate costumes. While here on the PC, I'll enjoy all that extra content for free.

Your missing the BIG PICTURE !!!...These things used to be "FREE" once upon a time, believe it or not and they used to be referred to as cheat codes not "DLC" lol, i'm seventeen and i've been playing games all my life the future should make your gaming experience more convenient not more expensive.

And gettinthatfasho, you also have the wrong idea about the game industry. Developers on consoles are not having a hard time making money. If you think they need the money, you need to take a good long look at the industry. PC Gaming Developers are sometimes lucky to make a fraction of what console developers make - and despite making less money, PC "DLC" for the most part is free.

What people hate isn't DLC it's that the dev will leave content out of the game then less then a week later try and charge you money for it and that is bs.

In that case, maybe PC game developers need to start charging for most of their DLC. I'm not totally against or for charging for DLC. I'm about 50/50 either way. I think if it's something that clearly hasn't just been cut out of the game, that maybe took a decent amount of effort to create, then it's worth paying a small amount of money for.

while all of your criticism of me is wrong. i see what you guys are saying, dont get me wrong.

All im saying is...there is no reason to piss and moan about it.

this is more directed at the people that complain about a map pack persay that comes out half a year or more later

if you dont buy the stupid useless shxt, they will stop making it.

thats all there is to it.

The intent of this post had nothing to do with the rip off that street fighter was as a whole.

I don't like how companies are releasing DLC that are basically cheat codes. *cough*EA*cough* Also, releasing content intended to be for the full game, but didn't make in time for additional cost is not cool.

It never bothered me. Sometimes life isn't fair, oh well $10 for some awesome maps that never go away? Ill take those for only $10!

It's not even expensive, if you guys cant find or make $10 or $20 that's sad...

No but it hurts when there's new maps and missions available, which should have come with the game seeing as we forked out a heck of a lot of money for it. It's idiotic to even think that it's a good idea.

As with anything in life DLC could be good or Bad...

The Good= gives longevity to the game

The Bad= Developers will give us less content at the games release

What bugs me is when they give away time-sensitive DLC or pre-order DLC, or some other type of DLC that you wouldn't be able to get again after a certain amount of time. Those special editions of games too, with extra stuff...there shouldn't be more than one version of the same game. And like with Lost Odyssey, when they didn't release all of the DLC the Japanese got in the US, I mean it was part of the game so why pretend it didn't happen? This all kind of goes hand-in-hand with the whole region-specific disc and editing of gamesthing too.

Someone wrote up a good complaint letter in the last issue of OXM about it, and OXM's perspective was that because it doesn't really add anything to the gameplay, these 'special' DLCs aren't really a big deal anyway. But still, it bugs me. If people are willing to pay for this stuff, why not make it available to buy for anyone what wants to? They would only make more money off of DLC, there would be nothing to lose from it. But you can't fight City Hall, as they say.

But yeah, otherwise I don't mind paying for DLC. I actually kind of look forward to it when it is a worthwhile expansion or addition to the game.
