I got my 360 hooked up via VGA. thing is, I'm using the Madcatz Vga cable (with free optical audio cable), just got it yesterday, it looks great but i keep hearing that the official vgacable is way better.

How true is this for any that have used both????

my pc could be better but it'd cost a few thousand dollars, and while were at it so could everything I have, but the fact is they all work for me so I don't need better. it's quite the american consumer to think "if can get something better then why not"

lol

Firstly, it wont cost me a few thousand to get a cable, its quite cheap and had my mentality been that i just buy the best, i would have a better tv and probably an elite but i cant afford that. the cable however I can spend as much as i would for about 2 large burger meals, or a pizza.

Secondly, I'm not american, i'm Zimbabwean, ha ha. Tell me r u british?

Lastly thers totally nothing wrong with getting something better if you can, its what advances humanity, if it wasnt for that you wouldnt have that pc

I think you are completely off comparing "upgrading the graphics on a video game" with "advancing humanity"...

No, I'm American myself and a thing I don't like about the country is that people always want newer stuff.

Cables can go up to the hundreds of dollars which is quite a lot of burgers and pizzas.

a better, newer PC/TV is defenitely not advancing humanity.

Right, maybe I got to specificaly explain this, I thort it was clear, but here we go

I did not say that upgrading graphics, specificaly advances humanity. I sed "THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH GETING SOMETHING BETTER" thats what advances humanity

Lamps worked just fine, if no 1 wanted n e thing better there would be no lightbulbs. Pong worked fine, if no1 wanted ne thing better we wouldnt have all these great games we have now...Do you see where im going with this???

Having an attitude of just stick with what works is logical, but if you can improve things thats even better is it not?

I have to say both arguments are very understandable... why tweak something out when current workings are just fine and why not add a little icing on the cake if possible. I'm a simple gamer, yet I can't deny the apparent details that can be seen in HD tvs and specialty cords... if you got the money it only makes sense to go all out.

That is if you GOT the money says the simple gamer

Well, if you want. I wouldn't, since you got one that works fine. But if it means THAT much to you, go for it.

I don't think you will notice any difference, but hey if you are willing to spend the cash then go for it.

I have the official VGA cable, and it's delicious. That being said, I don't have a 3rd party, but a friend does, and I didn't really notice a huge difference, although my monitor is slightly better than his, i don't think the cords themselves had any bearing on the visuals.
