I played the demo and really didn't pay much attention to the game, but yesterday I was talking with the clerk at EB about Overlord and decided to pick it up. I'm glad I did! They had one left and the clerk said that at least 8 people had already called to see if they had any copies. This game is extremely fun. It reminds me of Pikmin, in a twisted mideval sort of way. Anyone else pick it up yet? If so, what do you think??

I also picked it up. It's a good game, but not quite great.

It's something different which is what I needed, I'm getting a little sick of all the same FPS. People will say the graphics look last gen but give me a unique game and I'm happy. I Highly recommend this game.

It's a decent game, but the further in you get the more you see that it really has some issues.

It's definitely unique. It has a Fable meets Minions feel to it, and I really enjoy it.

Your Overlord can attack with the A button with melee weapon, or use X to cast a magic spell. You can lock onto enemies with the left trigger. That's pretty much it as far as the "combat system".

But 90% of the time you should keep your Overlord back & just send your minions in to fight for you so that your Overlord doesn't die, (he's really not that strong & your attack options are pretty limited).

The only noticible problem I've run into is the wonky camera, but you get used to it and learn how to use it pretty well. Also, there is no minimap, so you've gotta feel your way around many of the areas. The combat = you telling your minions to wreck up the place, which is quite amusing. You don't have to do much of the combat yourself, but you can (as far as your character is concerned). You can attack and cast spells and control the minions, though. Also, the minions pick up weapons and armor and things. (A couple of mine had make-shift pumpkin helmets, which is quite amusing).
