I hear lots of bad things about PDZ, but the collector's edition was sitting on the shelf at gamestop for 14.99 the other day, asking me to buy it. i tried the demo and it seemed ok, why does it have a bad rep?

I thought the game was fine. It was an excellent launch title.

It didn't have that epic feel that the original had on the N64. Butit was a good game, I hear the MP is great.

Perfect Dark has a pretty unfair reputation. I think the fact that it was the sequel to the original Perfect Dark (Which in turn was the follow up to Goldeneye.) made people have very high expectations and then after it got glowing reviews at launchI think alot of people ended up dissapointed.

It is a solid game and is quite fun (Especially co-op.) but there are a ton of very high quality FPS games on the 360 already that Iwould take over PDZ. If it's cheap though and your looking for something to fill a bit of time before games like Mass Effect and Call of Duty hit the shelves you can't really go wrong at $14. Not sure how many people are still playing it online though.

I thought it was decent, although I think I was expecting something of the Halo calibre for a launch title for the Xbox 360, and sadly, PDZ wasn't THAT good.

it sucked, a terrible story, bad level design they have to put arrows on the ground to show you where to go,can't mix guns dual welding, multi-player supports 32 ppl but even when the game was new it never filled up,unbalanced gamplaysome expensive gunssuck compared to the small cheap ones, only 4 maps, although their huge and u can play differnet areas in them. 14 bucks isn't bad but i would just rent it.

I felt as though the general gameplay just felt awkward for me.

I loved the N64 version, but for some reason it felt unfinished and lacking a feeling of power behind your character.

PDZ's average score on gamerankings is 81% and if I remember correctly, it received Gamespot Editor's Choice when reviewed... not the earmarks of a bad gameby any means...

Its a fine game, I think some people don't like it because it is more difficult than the average shooter. Either way it does have a worse rep than it should, its only 1 of 7 games for the 360 rated 9.0 or above by gamespot

It's one of my favorite 360 games, highly underrated and spat on for no reason. I think it was too hard formany people who can't handle a challenge and that they disliked its classic FPS feel. Not to say it was stuck in the past, it incorporated classic and modern seamlessly. I really liked the single player, but I didn't play it online much, even though that was just as fun.
