Does the game get any better or is it pretty much like this the entire time. I am trying to give it a chance because everyone says how great it is, but I am having a hard time staying into. Right now I am bored and wondering if it is worth my time to continue.
I played a few hours a few years ago was also bored as hell and quit. I can't imagine the game getting any better. I did really enjoy Jade Empire though.
yah they should have made another kotor and not that $%!# bag that we call mass effect, and trust me just play the game throughout best game on regular Xbox next to the original halo!

It doesn't start out boring in my opinion but it's true after you become a jedi that's when the real fun starts. I easily say buy it it's cheap and very good. I've replayed it like 20 times not even kidding it's such a huge game with a great story. It's worth every penny and you'll completely love the minigames and side quests there's tons of them.
KOTOR is still one of my top favorite RPGs of all time, and I've played way too many of them. Also check out Jade Empire if you have the chance. I love that game, and its basically the same thing.
And as far as Mass Effect sucking, you defenitly haven't played it enough if you think it sucks. It's an amazing game with a great story.
I don't agree. If you don't like the first part you won't like the rest of the game. It gets more actionful but it's still the very same gameplay concept.
I liked Taris a whole lot. Maybe even most of the entire game because that's where the story starts and you want to find out about all the characters and so forth. It's just a whole load of fun to start out with absolutely nothing and become an extremely powerful jedi later on.
That's also why I'm skeptical about The Force Unleashed. It looks very awesome and the gameplay looks nothing short of amazing and truly epic, but I feel that the game will lose it's building up story if you already start out with all your powers instead of nothing and building up to it. That's one of the most fun aspects of previous games in my opinion.

Kotor is an amazing series and i would love for them to start making the next game. with that said yes kotor gets better after the first planet. Taris is the longest but all the worlds you visit afterwards are great. however, if you thought the game was dumb in the beginning when it started and skipped the dialogue then maybe you should stop playing it now because that is the main focus of bioware games. the story and dialogue.
The story gets better, but the game mechanics don't change. You do get some cool force powers at the higher levels and the game gets MUCH better with lightsabers, but if you do not like the combat now I don't think you will like it at any other time in the game.

Im not looking forward to TFU all that much. Its not like the Kotor Games at all. either way you cut it the apprentice has to die because theres no way he can kill the emperor because if he did then it wouldnt explain episodes 4,5, and 6. so the story is kind of irrelevant to me. we know there will be a choice of turning good and evil but if you choose evil to kill the emperor then you're dead if you choose good then you're dead. either way it doesnt look good for that character
It's been said, but just to make sure you heard it. Taris is the slow part. You don't have many options of what to do, you have the dork that is Carth, and bastilla at this point doesn't help much either. It picks up. And who said they liked the second better? wow. maybe you played it on the PC where it wasn't a huge mess...
