[QUOTE="joke_man"][QUOTE="grafkhun"] FINALLY! now that I have seen everything in life I can rest easy and let my soul go into the beyond, alas good world, you've served me well, farewell!
ok I'm back, let's help you out TC , wouldn't want you to lose that precious hype machine you know ;)
Fable will be flop: firstly, it's a western RPG. We all know that only those people from that island with all the sushi are capable of making good RGPs, cleary. Secondly, your 'freedom' is artificial. Everything in the game is not you deciding it, everything is already laid out on pre-branched pathways and all the choices will be artificial or trivial. Combat sucks as well, it looks ridicolous. Also it will just be another western RPG, with generic locales and cliched enemies/abilities/weapons. Lastly Molyneux is using Fable 2 to fulfill his promises on Fable 1. This means that he will use Fable 3 to fulfill his promises on Fable 2.
it's been bashed, let us hope you find this a stupid post and be able to fill your hyp meter again.

I respect the every persons opinion, just as much as the next guy. However, when someone comes online, complaining and being critical about the freedom in Western RPGs, I can only think how unintelligent that person is! Go ahead, bash Fable 2, but if you do, please use a valid point or opinion that actually has value...
I say this with a point, the largest difference that comes to mind when looking at Japanese RPGs and Western RPGs is freedom and choice! I have played very few Japanese RPGs where my choices or player development affect the way the game actually turns out. A majority of JRPGs, follow there own story nearly to a 'T'. This is seen in Final Fantasy series, Pokemon, Dragon Quest, the Tales series, etc. (there are a bunch and nearly all follow that same formula with little choice for real character choice, growth and freedom)
This is the complete oposite of Western RPGs which have really started to focus of the freedom of choice idea with games like Oblivion, Mass Effect, KOTOR 1 and 2, Fable, etc.
I think that was a very rediculous reason to bash a whole group of Western RPGs considering that JRPGs are far to stuck in their own stories rather than giving you choice).
Amen brother! Though to be fair this guy said he was just kidding (but that does not mean there is not a butt fun load of people just like it). Neither should be bashed it just comes down to how you perfer to play as a gamer.
Are you guys **** serious?! neither Oblivion, Mass Letdown or Fable can be compared to the best of the JRPGs, like Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Suikoden 1 and 2, FFVIII, Musashi, Persona, Disgaea(its not one of the best, but it has quite a large group of fans) and some others, at least if you're going to compare WRPGs to JRPGs use better examples, Fallout, Baldurs Gate, KOTOR, Morrowind, Arcanum, Vampire X(is the name correct?) and dozens of others, Mass Effect and Oblivion suck compared to the real WRPGs.
