First of all, to all those who are slamming Def Jam Icon as a game, this is not what this thread is about.  Def Jam is actually a pretty decent game.  Is it your usual run around and shoot everyone with your realistic weapons and unrealistic physics while you die 47 times on Xbox live and have no fun (im looking at you Call of Duty 3!) NO, its a good, unique game...

Now about the original question.  To the one who posted it, I can tell you weren't trying to be funny because you obviously have a issue with the game and the people in it, but when you put the question out there and people were going back and forth about it, you decided to be safe and say "oh it was just a joke"!!  Anyway, Def Jam Icon is not a rascist game for these reasons: 1.) It features actual people/rappers.  The rappers in the game are based on real people, and most rappers are Black people, but Def Jam went out of its way to include White rappers and people as well (the police officer).  2.)  The create a character mode.  You can create a character of any race of your choice (something more games with customizable characters need, im afraid for Mass Effect that it won't feature Black people as characters.) 3.) You can use any music you choose.  On the Xbox 360, you are able to use your own soundtrack, so if you don't want to hear rap (or "black music" as many people here call it) you can swap it out.

Now take a game like Guitar Hero (and its sequel).  We will see why THIS GAME is rascist. 1.) No other races represented.  This game features only white people, no Black people at all.  Even in the sequel where they could have redeamed themselves....nothing. 2) Only Rock music.  Now while I feel all music is for all people, the only music in the game is rock music, so it will only be pleasing to those who only like rock music.

All Im saying is this, if you are going to point the finger at Def Jam for featuring mostly (not only) Black people, point the finger at other games for featuring ONLY white people.

Nope. If that's the case, so is every game based from the NBA, most of the Tom Clancey games(this one's serious), most of the NFL games, and...Final Fantasy Advent Children.
