[QUOTE="Chaism"][QUOTE="Darth_Tigris"][QUOTE="Chaism"] I dont think so ever.
Also big issue here. Stop saying bloody Bill Gates he is no longer head of the company. Infact all his main concerns in life now are his foundation he has for helping out chairties.
You people sound like a broken record Bill Gates this Bill Gates that. Serouisly people do your bloody homework when you speak about a company and think you know all.

Amen.
But I don't think he's left his post yet to pursue a life of philanthropy. I believe that's scheduled for sometime next year and he will still have a position on the board, IIRC.
Glad someone agrees.
And yep I think it is next year to. But he will not be the lead software excustive i think is his title. He'll be like the guy under so he can still be part but not run the company. So really I think mircosoft is just mircosoft not like Bill Gates like many thought.
Plus Bill Gates from what people have said is just a geek like all of us who made it big. You would think some here have like a agenda against this guy by how they talk.
Yes Bill is retiring next year, but that point is moot the fact is M$ is worth about 50 billion dollars which is about 25 times the amount that EA is worth so yes if M$ wanted EA they could have it but I don't think they do at this point.
In reality, $50 billion is only Microsoft'sANNUAL revenue ($51 billion for 2007). The actual networth of the company is much, much higher than that (like $322 billion).
I couldn't find any numbers for EA's net worth, but annual revenue for 2006 was just under $3 billion.
MS could buy EA 50 times over, but why would anyone think that would be a good investment? They already overpaid for Rare ...
