the gears of war series hands down. bioshock was more of a horror/shooter, it had some action in it but it wasnt straight up action every minute of the game like gears of war, same goes for the other games you mentioned, i havent gotten a chance to pay RE5 but it looks good

Yah I don't know...for some reason Bioshock and Biohazard are classified as action/shooters for some reason lol:P
i dont really consider GTA 4 or DMC 4 as shooters. yea there are shooting mechanics to both games, but in DMC 4 your using your sword most of the time and i dont remeber ever fighting a monster with a gun and if i did must have been very few. GTA 4 is not a shooter in my opinion, yea you can shoot ppl and yea theres action but to me its more like a action adventure game. if you say GTA 4 is a shooter then fallout 3 has to be considered one.
