Its says the volts on the back of your console, as well as the power bar. Make sure they are the same.

what are you talkin about? all 360s use the STANDARD big power brick, its the same one for everyone, however, the NEW NEW xbox 360s with the jasper chipset dont use the big powerbrick anymore, they use a new type of power brick, as smaller one. if ur 360 is like a year old or something then u need the big standard power brick, the one your brother probably sold, thats all you need.

Make sure the new powerbrick has the same wattage and amps as the sticker on the back of your 360 and you should be fine.

call microsoft and ask to be sure. i dont see why it would be a problem because when your xbox breaks and you send it in theres good change your going get a newer xbox. i bought mine xbox before falcon came out and a it broke down and sent it in and i got a falcon xbox and my brick works with it

also why would microsoft sell new power bricks in stores and only one type... that wouldn't be good if they didn't work on all the systems

Some of you seem not to know what you are talking about so I will straighten it out.

Older power bricks made for previous chipsets are compatable with the newer chipsets, newer powerbricks won't work on older systems because of the connectors for all of the new powersupplies will only allow the powerbrick to plug into the chipset it was made for or chipsets made after it.

The 360 will only draw the power it needs anyway so using a powersupply with a higher wattage doesn't hurt.

If you want the EXACT power supply that was made for YOUR xbox then I will make it easy, check the back of your 360 where you serial number is. On the bottom left of that sticker you will see something one of these lines, if your 360 matches any of the information that I post then that is the power supply you need.

12v---12.1A = You need a 150W power supply, but a 175 watt and a 203 watt power supply will work.
