Pre-Orderd Viking - Good Choice?

Hey!

Well iv'e recently pre-orderd Viking: Battle For Asgard for it's release date, (28th March) - But the question is , did I make a good choice? I'm not entirly sure, as there are not many reviews about it , and not to mension it's not on many magazines to show it's gameplay, I liked the trailer, but 80% of the games iv'e bought i liked the trailer but hated the game. So please can you tell me if i made a good choice or not - thank you :).

Thanks for your post, and btw I really liked God Of War, so if it's a bit like that, i'd be more than happy. (Especially TW - loved it).

It does look pretty impressive, and different from alot of 360 releases(ie fps's). Im hoping its going to be good, cuz it really looks like my cup of tea!Kobane6794

Not much fanfare, games that aren't lauded before arrival, covered extensively etc. etc. tend to scare me away from a blind-buy. Happened to all those people freakin' on Kane & Lynch and Two Worlds.Magebane

But it was on the cover for the offical Xbox 360 magazine, and i think it could be ALRIGHT.

Gears was hyped to hell.

I'm interested in Viking, just gonna wait for revs

the game looks really good, ill wait for a review tho and not from gamespots reviewers cause they will give it at least 2 less than it desrves or just have a review that is late and horribly written

Damn right. I've never understood people pre-ordering games, just wait until you can find it after it's out - wait for some reviews. Are you all that impatient?

i pre-ordered it, is that I can play it before all my friends and say 'I got it on release' :P.

Well yeah, but my point is that I guarantee it will not sell out on release. Halo 3 didn't even sell out on release. Should have just saved your 5 bucks, or however much it cost.

I hope the game is good, but I'm not really expecting it to be more than a rental.

Some pre-orders give you things like 1600 microsoft points or other types of discounts. That's the only reason I've pre-ordered games in the past.

Yeah but the big games never sell out. They have tons of copies stalked since they know it will be a big seller. Gears, Halo, Super Smash Brothers, Zelda, Mario, Guitar Hero, etc always have tons of copies. Its the smaller games like this that will sell out (at least at places like GameStop). Combine this with the fact that, at least around here, a lot of the big box retailers get it a couple days later, it can be worth it for the impatient. Plus, if you sell games or what not at Gamestop credit and such.
