PS3 along with Xbox 360?

Well I already have an Xbox 360 but was thinking of saving up a bit of money and getting a PS3 in the future. Any other 360 owners have a PS3 and if so I wanna hear your opinions. Is it good or just ok?

I don't, I was going to get one in january... But for the lack of decent exclusives it's not worth the money imo. I've had so many oppertunities to get one, I even had it on pre-order but I never ended up buying it. I can think of so many better ways to spend my money. (I've bought 2 xbox 360s and still no ps3 ffs).

for the record, I was a huge playstation fan and never owned an original xbox, but sonys attitute towards europe made me change my mind, and I dont regret it. The only console that has made me tear away a bit from pc gaming.

Heck if u have the money go for it i have all three i didnt play my ps3 until just recently with R&C(amazing) and uncharted (PITFALL with guns) i only really have it for FinalFantasy13

you 360 fanboys are starting to make me furious. I never like bringing this up but where was the 360 one year after launch. It was right in the PS3's position and the only reason it got no hate was because there was no competition. Good games were just starting to come out and it hadn't sold very much even with no competition proving that it wasn't that good. But now you think wow the PS3 sucks and Xbox has never been bad.

Lets point out some cons

360 vs Ps3 failure rate

1. 360= 30-35%PS3= 1-2%

2. 360 has less value then PS3 Ps3.built in wifi, bluray (basically the 360 hd-dvd player), andfree online. For only $400-500. To get those things for 360 it will cost (I'm using core/arcade as an example)

Wireless adapter- $100

Ethernet cable(If you don't want wireless)- I'm guessing $20-50

XBL gold subsription- I think $60

HD-DVD player- $200

Arcade/Core Xbox 360 itself- $270

So that's $550-630 and that's the arcade/core.

For the pro it's $630-710

For the Elite it's $730-810

Which is cheaper now. That's what I thought. But back to the subject.

PS3's 08' lineup is incredibly strong and so is 360's. I love the 360 but when you fanboys come along it pisses me off

I bought a 360 at launch and skipped PS3 at launch because nothing interested me but now since games are coming that I want Im going to order one in the next week. I bought Unreal Tournament 3 earlier so I would have something to play when it gets here lol.PS3360emokid

I bought a PS3 at launch, the 20 gig.

Paid $535 for it and sold it 2 days later for $950

So I got my 360 for free and luv it!

i bought my 360 for 350. i dint wanna waste 600 on ps3. now that it is 300 bucks. i might as well buy it. but i think i will wait till it gets to 250 or so.tacosrule193

ha! wont happen....ps3 is just now worth having...uncharted heavenly sword....racthet...and mgs coming soon...gta 4 which will be on 360 but dont expect the same thing on each console...theyve stated numerous times that 360 is hard tio develop for because they cant depend on the space for the hd like they can with ps3...but that aside...ps3 is better than wii reguardless either way....dont go that route if you were...i regretted it...unless your a young one...like poster above me...not to mention the blu ray player is worth it alone...blu ray is dominating hd dvd and seems as of now that it will wein the format "war"...heh...and the web browser if you do not have a computer of your own in your room...

360 is the console to own as of now though hands down...2 years from now?....really doubt it ...which is why having both is win win...but i have a job...2 actually..and can afford to buy both..but wii...ahh...wii wont last..just a fad...for lack of a better word..tale my word for it...skip the wii..unless your 14 or down

Wait till there are atleast 5 exclsuive titles that you really want to have. A console isnt worth it if there arent even 5 games you really want for it. In my case there is just one game on the PS3 that I want, and it hasnt even been released yet, might even go multiplatform in 2008, and no I'm not talking about MGS4. So if the PS3 has 5 games released that you want atm, then go for it.

I have all three next gen systems, and by far my 360 gets the most play time, followed by my wii, and then the ps3. I am not a fanboy, but I will play the system which gives me a better gaming experience and right now it is the 360. The PS3 is a good machine, but don't get swept up in the hype. The system was, and still is dependent on the hype. Since before the console has been out, it's been "Remote play is gonna be sweet" and "MGS4 will be hereon (insert date)". They have yet to deliver on either of those fronts. Remote play is still completely and utterly useless, and I still don't have MGS4. I also hate the fact that they removed the rumble feature from the remote. I don't understand the theory behind removing something that has become standard in a supposedly "next-gen" console. I agree, "someday" the console will be worth owning, I just don't know when that day will be. Oh, and yeah, the blu-ray is nice, but that doesn't make it a good gaming console. The 360 is a fantastic gaming platform, unfortunately it has its downfall in the whole hardware department. However, I would rather have my system, which actually has good games, break 5 times rather than have a system that doesn't break, which I never play games on.

P.S. Also, you may want to take this to system wars so you get less of a biased from both 360 fanboys and trolling PS3 fanboys. Just an FYI

I have a 360/wii combination. I can play combat games like Halo 3 on my 360 and light-hearted titles like Mario Galaxy on the wii. I wouldn't get a PS3 because it doesn't offer many good games that the 360 doesn't also have.Bubble_Man

THAT is the smart way to go. A 360 for your FPS and epic RPGs, and Wii for parties and light hearted stuff (good for families too)

As a former PS2 man, I have played some exclusives on the PS3 and NONE of them justify the high price. It is a monetary disaster for Sony,but hopefully we will see something positive come out of this for 2008.

It is clearly time to respect the reign of the Xbox 360.
