Q: What's the best LIVE game?

well you'll rarely find a nice community on pretty much anything because of annoying people. For gameplay I'll have to say Call of Duty 4.

EDIT: Oh if you meant "best community" as in the larger community, then halo 3 and Call of duty 4 probably have the largest.

Halo 3: Decent community, Sci Fi setting, great controls, Vehicles, and no class customizing, Variety shooter.

Call of Duty 4: Decent community, Modern setting, great controls, no Vehicles, and class customizing, Run and Gun shooter.

Battlefield Bad Company: Good community, Modern setting, great controls, Vehicles, class customizing, Objective shooter.

Rainbow Six vegas 2: Good community, Modern setting, decent controls, no Vehicles, class customizing, Taticle shooter.

Gears of War: Decent community, Sci Fi (I think), great controls, no Vehicles, no class customizing, 3rd Person shooter.

I would personally recommend Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, or Battle Field Bad Company.
