Quake 4 vs Prey (cannot decide which to buy)

I'm planning on getting one of these but cannot decide on which-one. Honestly I'm not excited about any of those but want to play some singleplayer game till Tiberium Wars comes out. And then I'm gonna trade in that game for C&C.

So which-one is better? Graphics, gameplay (singleplayer only), story, length and ahievements accumulated by a single playtrough is whats important when making the decision.  

I allrady have Condemned. Qauke 4 you say, I read that the graphics are worse on the 360 and that theres lots of lag (thats why Im undecided).

But I'll definetly consider Tony Hawk to. Afterall I will trade in those games whitin 10 days so I can get C&C instead. Im just so tired of playing the games I allready own, not so much variety so Tony Hawk might be a good purchase.

madden 07, amped 3( recommend), rainbow 6 vegas(u wont want to trade it in), u already have COD 3, so no real point to get COD2, maybe rent it, maybe get some XBLA games, project gotham racing 3 is decent, maybe rent one

the frame rate is only bad occasionaly, not enough to slow the game down in any way.  The graphics arent bad, jeff's review is pretty ignorant.  I just beat the game a third time the other day and it was a blast the whole way through. 

Get quake, its an awsome underated game.

I know Game Stop has Quake for $19.99. I have been thinking of picking that one up. I was also thinking of Prey, but alot of people posted that it was not good, I am goig to get quake.Army_Veteran

Your choice, of course.  If you have Live and like playing multiplayer then it's probably a better choice.  Prey's multiplayer isn't bad, it just doesn't have the fanbase that Quake does.

As for the graphics, they are great on Quake.  Plus, I think Gamespot severely overstated the amount of framerate problems in the game, severely.  I noticed some, but it never really became an issue that bothered me that much.   

Don't get either, save your cash and just rent each if you have to play them.  Quake 4 is the better game overall IMO, Prey has about the lamest shooting action I've ever played, plus all the turning upside down and sideways can get really sickening.  When I rented Prey I normally had to close my eyes when I went through a portal or walked on one of the inverted walkways to keep from getting sick to my stomach.  You might think I'm kinda wimpy for doing that, but I never get sick in cars or in airplanes, its just tough on your brain.jmartinez1983

Prey is cheaper and it has a much, much better story.  If you don't have Live then Quake would be a waste.njdss4

Thnx for your input, but some of you people just need to read my first post. As I mentiond I will trade in the game I decide to buy within 10 days, only to get Command & Conquer instead on its release.

Mayeb I just get both of them, afterall they are both cheap.
