Question about Halo ODST.

Sorry if there's a topic about this, I never come to these forums...

Anyway, if you pre-order the game you can play as Srg. Johnson or whatever his name is (I don't care for the game, however my friend keeps talking about how he can't wait for ODST and to play as him). So then I realized... it's a FPS. Does it matter what character you are?

What would the difference be when playing different characters? Just different hands? Possibly a different voice when your getting shot out, he says like, "Oh Crap!" or something?

different voice when you get shot at and pick up stuff probably, different hands maybe, and your friends will see that you are playing as johnson

Where'd you get an advance copy of the game? It's not out for 3 weeks here in the statesCNUrGames

Yeah, my brother told me they were selling it early in France. Wouldn't the game be in French? Lol.

I'm guessing the 360 isn't region locked.
