I personally thought people jumped the gun. I mean lets face it it's going to be a powerful system and sony is most likely going to block used games also. So it's basiclly MS vs Sony Vs. Who has the better exclusives. The Wii-U is done, IMO nintendo won't find a market for it's system in 2013. The thing that turns me off to the XONE is the kinnect. If i HAVE to plug it in for the system to work i might end up not getting one. But if i can leave it in the box then i look at the ONE as just the xbox 720.
Umm, Sony already said they aren't blocking used games. Microsoft isn't blocking them either. So I don't know what you're even talking about. Microsoft said there will be a fee for used games, and Sony said they will leave that up to the publishers.I personally thought people jumped the gun. Too bad
A hate train this big doesn't just stop. After 5 bricked consoles I can't say I feel any pity for them.

Microsoft said there will be a fee for used games, and Sony said they will leave that up to the publishers.Which, the publishers will most likely follow through with, I may add. Video games, just like any other form of media, are a business. Yeah, occasionally you have a developer who really takes it to heart what the gamers are saying, but money will almost always come before what the average gamer wants. So what, a company like Activision will loose you for the next Call of Duty. People really think it matters? Call of Duty is a multi-million dollar property. 1 gamer keeping their $63 isnt going to do anything to stop it.I personally thought people jumped the gun. [QUOTE="BLAS1AN"]this this this this this this. Someday we will have to get over the Kinect exclusive title. If a game uses Kinect to scan your face and make you into a Pixar style character that could be played with the X1 controller, does that make this a Kinect exclusive? I don't think so. I think it will be games using the Kinect as a add on to help the game and not so much a controller. I don't want to give up my controller just like everyone else but if Kinect can make the games I'm used to even better then I'm all for it!how many of those exclusives are for kinect the spy camera?

I agree. Im all for kinect adding new elements to games or full kinect games in general. I just dont want to be misled about the exlusives being mostly kinect hand motion games. I want to play Fable using a controller and not on rails while flailing my arms LOL

Kinect is a gimmick, it takes resources away from games into "Xbox watch tv, Xbox call buddy, Xbox music"
Microsoft's focus is no longer for gaming or about gaming, they've become a TV company.
Even the few games they actually showed in the reveal were casual kiddie games.
The whole 1 hour reveal by Microsoft literally had nothing I wanted, and I've been an 360 gamer since 2008.
I just think it's funny how everybody's complaining about the entertainment (excluding games) features of the console. It still plays games, and it will have alot of GREAT games at that! Oakley SunglassesGary631
Most of us aren't too pissed pissed about the multimedia functions, it's more about MS making the core-base take a back seat to a target group that could care less about the system.
They really botched the reveal but I have faith in them that E3 will be better. They've been very open about how well they think E3 will be and I don't know why they'd say that after their botched reveal and all the positivity around Sony's reveal.
I'm guessing a Halo 5 tease, a surprise Rare IP coming back, a surprising third party exclusive (like the only next-gen version of GTA V?) and some surprising Japanese games.

You're right, gamers took a backseat during the reveal but I don't think the first showing of the console is about us. It's about the average consumer. If E3 runs 2 hours long and delivers nothing but games and we combine it with the 1 hour reveal conference then 2/3rds of their reveal WOULD have been about the gamer. We'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, that's really my beef(along with kinect) I know it's sounds immature but I feel as though average consumer should have had to wait until E3....after all they sure as hell aren't going to be the one's standing in line on launch day.
Either way I'm not in a rush for the next-gen of gaming anyway....my hands are more then full with what I already have.:) I'm not saying I won't be going next-gen, it's just won't be anytime soon and until a few more things are confirmed.
I'll believe it when I see it.http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/no-tv-talk-e3-will-be-all-about-xbox-one-games-microsoft-says

You think they did that from the kindness of their heart? EA probably know that X1 will enforce a strategy to combat used games and Sony will likely follow suit. That's probably part of the reason why EA is neglecting the WiiU.I personally thought people jumped the gun. it doesn't matter at this point because kinect 2.0 is mandatory and everyone hates it, everyone has always hated it and everyone has always hated it at e3 as well. so what does microsoft do? the make it mandatory... why?? smh the microsoft e3 event is going to flat out suck no matter what. all because of kinect 2.0http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/no-tv-talk-e3-will-be-all-about-xbox-one-games-microsoft-says

MS has a patent that allows kinect to monitor and analyze.

I didn't really understand the backlash MS got. I mean I didn't expect them to come out 2 weeks before E3 and show off every trick in their hat. The reveal was supposed to be about revealing the console and what it was capable of. E3 was always going to be the big game showcase. I think people really did jump the gun on this one. I for one am excited to see some of the new exclusives they've got for us. Only a couple more days.wwervin
It was more of a combination between the bad conference followed by some shitty information that created the backlash.Â
If it had just been the conference it wouldn't have been so bad. People would have just been like, "Oh, that was kind of lame. Hopefully E3 is better." and that would have been it. People are getting way too overdramatic about it, but a lot of people are upset with MS for good reason.Â

By bad press, if you're talking about the DRM stuff, I can sort of see what you're saying. Still, it makes me wonder why Microsoft gets all the heat when we know damn well that Sony is going to include similar DRM in the PS4 that makes it possible for developers/publishers to include used game fees. I get why people don't like DRM, but why are they sticking up for Sony while trashing MS? That makes no sense to me.Man you were so right with that proof. So many exclusives, it was such a great conference and Microsoft is sure to be the victor now. 20 launch games and a entire 9 of them are new titles. I sure can't wait to spend $500 to play old games. And getting 2 free old games for being a Gold member! Where do I sign up?http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/no-tv-talk-e3-will-be-all-about-xbox-one-games-microsoft-says
