i love ragdoll physics, but after seeing Euphoria in GTA IV, i wish every game had it. I mean, i had a ton of fun off of shooting people's legs when they're on a stairway.
if the ragdoll physics are really overexagerrated, then there's a problem, but otherwise I say keep them in or upgrade to Euphoria
I think everyone agrees that ragdoll physics are better than the old death animations. At the same time, yeah, I agree that some developers get a little silly with it. It depends on the tone of the game too. I don't have a problem with absurd physics in Team Fortress.
I remember trying to stuff some dead pirates into a cupboard. Funniest 30 minutes of gaming in my life.

 I got a good laugh out of that one.
I like ragdoll effects, but ive just played Black for the first time. Older game i know, but it was a little like a breath of fresh air with its animations. So i dont know, maybe spice it up :) Not just ragdoll for everything, make something unique for every game.
Pretty boring if we one day will only have one simulation engine, for how enemies react after getting shot in games.
Sometimes you want hollywood style action, sometimes you want realism and sometimes you just wanna shot an enemy and see him fly 50 yards!
The new Brothers in Arms game has some great Ragdolls. Other games with good ragdolls would be.
CSS, R6V2, Splinter Cell, GTA IV.
And IMO the Fallout 3 Ragdolls look awesome.
Since when does a body go completely limp, and become more flexible then a olympic gymnist when a person dies? It takes away from the game if you ask me, because it just looks so odd to be a body just go "flopping" around like that. I'd prefer animations myself, or something.SymphonicWaves
lol I agree but they might be around for a while because a lot of people are still against violent video games and, one way to keep them from getting something else against these games are rag-doll physics. If there were violent games where people got killed and resembled actual killings that would be another"probable cause" for them to try to get rid of these games. Personally I think rag-doll physics will be around forever.
Depends on the ragdoll physic
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has a pretty good ragdol.
Gears of War has a pretty funny one, Halo 3 has a hilarious one at times.
I like ragdoll physics :p
i like ragdoll physics myself. They can be funny at times. Also it allows for there to be different types of deaths. i mean i hate seeing the same animation over and over when something dies. And its not exactly real either when someone gets hit by a cannon and just lays down where they were standing ;)
