I just downloaded a new patch I was prompted to get when I signed into XBL to play R6, and since I cannot get into any rooms, including ones I know are running, getting messages everytime like 'failed to join' or 'match unavailable.' I know it's not my router or XBox, because I reset and checked both, and can still access XBL and my internet. Anyone else getting this problem, or know what's causing it?

The patch changed the game versions and all of the rooms are running on the old version of the game.

Ah. So I just can't get in any until everything switches to the 'new' version?

I'm having the same problem...I search matches, most of the host's pings dont even show up...if i try to join one of those without a ping, i get the "game no longer available" message.  I can still join the hosts that show up with a green or yellow ping, but like i said, there aren't many.  Sucks

that might be the deal, but it has also changed the single player a bit. i was playing the spire, and a couple of the advertisements in the game have been changed to "smokin aces, on DVD,HD DVD april 17th" and i kinda don't like the fact that they are using updates to shove product placements in our face. it was already bad enough w/ one of the levels starting off w/ 3 or 4 giant AXE billboards shover almost literally in your face.

LOL, yeah. It's bad enough the game is already one big car commercial for the brand that was sponsoring Ubisoft (can't remember what the name of the co. is; i'm not a car guy ^_^;;). And their own product placement. But it's becoming a trend. And if it gets them more money so they can keep making more games like Assassin's Creed and whatnot, I can live with a few little things like that.

couple of new maps, and 2 new modes. gamespot had an article about it. it's 800 points

This patch also fixed some of the guns too. For example MTAR21 does not have the range it used to have anymore and the Desert Eagle is not as powerful as it used to be. I think you can find the full details on the website.
