Any player of video games or watcher of movies knows it is stupid to rate a game before it comes out. Adding on to that last comment expecting a game to be terrible or amazing before it comes out is also stupid. All the post's about will this game be this rating ? or will that game get that rating ? Does it really matter... Reviewers and you yourself will think differently. If someone even Opts to rate a game before it is released is just a biased opinion.... and the more you yourself rate a game before it comes out the more you will expect it to be good and bad... so when i comes out you will be like meh it was ok when really you would have thought this is a fantastic game. Judging a game on it's beta though informative you will never know what the true experience is unless you play it and judge it only against itself... not against other genres or games... they all play differently . And one final thing.... Don't criticize a developer on something you yourself couldn't make.

I agree except for that last comment which was a bit strange.

Why is it so bad to rate a game before it comes out? Its not a final rating just how someone feels about the game from what they've seen. Anytime you criticize or compliment a game before it comes out you are basically giving it a rating even if you don't throw out a number. So basically you are saying that we shouldn't talk about games before they come out anymore.

As for criticizing a developer, the only developer I'll go out and criticize is EA because a corporate giant like them should be able to make much better games than the usually mediocre ones they come out with.

I have to agree. Being a gamer, I do feel that I have played a few games from the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, NES, Genesis, PS, PS2, XBOX, and X360. Playing games from age 3, I feel that I can give my opinions from time to time. Please remember that they are just opinions.

I do kind of disagree with the last statement. People criticize actions by others everyday. The statements should be looked at as a way to build, rather than destruct. Oh well, that is my two cents.

I agree with the EA thing because many of their previous games could have been alot better... And I have never Criticized a game previous to it's release... neither have I "complimented" a game... However Saying it looks good can be Biased but then again at the same time it is not... Because saying a game looks good does not mean you will buy it etc

Opinions are fine ... But Saying a game sucks or is amazing BEFORE it is released I find is hilarious and at the same time stupid... People Saying things like It's Not bringing anything new to the plate... or in any other sense or changes to that statement before they have played it ? Yes opinions are fine... and I appreciate the input as I do everyones...

The one thing that I hate most about reviews is they rate games so high that have no replay value at all. For example Bioshock and Resident Evil 4. I bought both those games and beat them in a week and had no desire to ever play them again. I ended up traded them in. Great games but no lasting appeal. Re4 got a 9.6 on the gamecube which they gave a 10 for replay value. Where as Half Life for PC they gave a 9.2 adn a 9 for replay value. I bought HL2 on realeast dat and I still pay it, Gary's mod is aewsome. WHere is the replay value in Re4, there is none. That game should have got a score between 7-8.

Its one thing to just completely bash a game with little to no knowledge of the game itself but theres no harm in constructively criticizing a game.

Lol. That is funny due to the fact that its true that people either hype a game or bash it if they do not like it.
