Reasons to trade in Gears of wars.

Online community is horrible, its almost impossible to have decent conversation with players.Host with weapons is the obvious and makes the game totally unbalanced.Shotgun fights over and over again.Sad lil kids swearing which is not cool whatsoever.

I enjoy playing gears with friends only but either than that i barely play on my own because of all bullet lag, host advantage, shotgun fest, and the community which can be horrible at times.

Well, I have a reason not to trade it in: chainsaw.hachiman128

My reasons for trading the game in months ago:

- short single player mode that gives you little reason to play through multiple times.

- online multiplayer is ultra repetitive and severly lacking in content

- level design for said multiplayer is uninspired and far too linear

- the growing mass of douchebags in uninspired and lackluster multiplayer. 

- the unholy amount of glitches and bugs (especially in multiplayer)

- I got Rainbow Six Vegas

That is an OPINION. I feel quite the opposite. I actually feel that it's a terribly overrated, underdelivering game.

No one should ever trade in an instant classic and gears is one of them.

i agree about the host BS advantage. The community isnt to bad halo2 was the same. but i still wouldnt trade it inD3monXg

That's about where I'm at. Still a fantastic game that I could see myself pulling out for years to come to play coop with a friend.

Reasons to not trade in Gears of War:

1. You have a job, and a decent income.

Reason to NOT trade it in: getting raped by EB/Gamestop for it.

I don't care much for Gears' online and think it's not only overrated, but I think it's ALL hype. There's virtually nothing there for me. However -- let me finish! -- despite the fact that I agree with the sentiment, I think that this thread is pointless... almost a cry for attention from the Gears zealots and general loose cannons.

 hmmmm repetetive eh? not like, say a rainbow six match where the other team crowds your spawn....go to spawn exiy 1....get sniped....go to spawn exit 2.....get blown up by C4.....go to spawn exit 1.....get sniped

at least gears has items you can pick up and collect, as well as varied enemies and locations. vegas campaign was pretty much: 'oh yay another room full of terrorists' and 'oh goody, my team has to hack a computer again'

I second dat motion...Probably if u were good at it u wouldnt consider trading it in well everyone has their opinion im just posting mine.

I suck balls at rainbow six vegas but I still think its a fantastic game and u dont see me trashing it grow up homie then post a thread dat means something.

Some people just genuinely don't like it. Some people genuinely think it sucks.

I think if people like something and can be fair about it, and if people don't like something and can be fair about it, fine let's have a discussion. But then some people just want other people to "STFU" if they don't like what they like and that' just unacceptable. If we have to hear people go on and on and on and on and on about how Gears is a landmark shooter (it isn't) or has the best multiplayer ever (it doesn't) or is just simply a great game (debateable) or that it has the greatest graphics EVER (it's up there, if not #1 for that), then we should be able to hear the other side.

I appreciate that you suck at Rainbow Six but still respect it's a good game. I feel the same way about a lot of games. I go into a lot of online games and get smoked because I don't have the time to devote to them anymore (compared to some, anyway). But I genuinely think the MP in Gears is repetitive. Do I suck at it? Sure! But I suck at a lot of games that I still play (DOA4, Rainbow Six, GEOMETRY WARS) or at least respect. That's what it's about -- RESPECT. People shouldn't belittle other people because they don't like what they like. And if they do, then screw them.

I dont think it has the best multiplayer, and I dont think its a landmark either. I just find it very enjoyable(hence me having seriously). I respect all of the points you brought up they are valid, I just feelthat its a great game and got the score it deserved, and I also say its overated (people praise the game like the pope). The title shouldn't be "Reasons to trade in Gears of War", but instead it should be "How to trade in Gears of War? (for anything that's not below 40 bucks)"

nope i disagree, sometimes people could be complete .... but most of the time i could talk to some good people around my age. (halo 2 btw)

I don't know any reasons to trade in Gears of War but I have a really good reasons why you shouldn't post on gamespots forums anymore. The reason is quoted above.

1 on 1 alrite wen my 360 gets back u can be added 2 da 1 on 1 list but anyways gears does get repetitive but something alway brings me back. I just cant trade it in if u want to trade it in more power 2 u but I thnk ur makin a mistake
