they lead off stating that the problem as been resolved - next thing is to figure out when the "fixed" consoles will be for sale?

I don't think that is possible. The best attempt was a jasper motherboard.

Well it's proably still possible.. But harder to get, before it wasn't very hard to get the RROD. especially for a casual player, But leave your xbox 360 on for 3 months straight =)

and make sure its in a very closed place..

and if it didn't get red ring of death, whoever made it deserves a cookie!

You see the trouble with the 360 is the device attached to the gamepad*

When I went to buy mine almos a year ago they had a RRODed one in the shop trying to fix it and I overheard the tecknichans say it was left on for three days in a bookcase. The guy had put it in the bookcase so it wont get dusty or whatever , then after playing for a while he left it on (proubably didnt reach that checkpoint) and went away for the weekend. And then he came to the shop complaining about his 360 RRODing
