I'm thinking of buying this refurbished 360 from Game (UK only). Here is the url: http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Hardware/Console/~r341299/Refurbished-Xbox-360-20-GB-Console/

I just dont know what to expect, like will it get the RRoD two days after? Also, will it have one of the old chips or the new one?

So I just want to know if it will be reliable and are refurbished consoles just old ones that work?

Thanks

I'll be honest with you. The xbox 360 console on sale appears to be a discontinued version of the Xbox 360 (the 20 gb version). As much, the chip might be Falcon at most or a Xenon (Xenon Opus if fixed). I don't know what to tell you, but I think you should buy a new console which has the Jaspar chip (it is much more quieter and uses less power which makes it cheaper on the long run... lower bills). Plus, you have assured an HDMI port (since Xenon does not have) and usually refurbished consoles are in the most part trade-in consoles. I've added an url which explains all the chipped Xbox 360 versions so you can have a better look: http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=56521 Hope this helps

I would just get a new one. I mean the problem with refurbished ones are that you don't know what previous problems it had. It's taking a huge risk you know. I know that at some stores they sell them or $249.99. More expensive than an arcade, and you could get a new one for about $70 more. It's your call though.
