So you already have Halo 3 and youve purchased all the maps.

ODST doesnt add any multiplayer component (excluding Firefight).

All that leaves is Firefight and the Campaign.

The campaign is only around 5 hours and isnt even all that good.

Firefight is fun, but given that the game brings nothing else to the table (for those with H3) this mode is not worth $60+

I guess what Im saying is, I regret buying the game. Ive probably only played for 10 hours and you could easily get away with a rent.

Opinions?

No regret at all to be honest.

Halo ODST is the best halo yet imo.

The singleplayer was dark, had great atmosphere and a very good story

The firefight mode was tons of fun with friends to me

Well worth it imo.

Im someone who always thought the Halo games from 1-3 where overrated singleplayer wise, but great online, but with ODST its the first Halo game that I loved the singleplayer campaign of (halo1 was good, Halo2 i ahted singleplayer and Halo3 only had one fun campaign level imo).

I regret buying it and the only reason why I bought it in the first place was because of my buddy hyping the game like crazy. I still have the game and hoping the Halo Reach beta is worth the $60.

No regrets. Campaign and firefight has given me alot of fun gaming hours. Plus having all the maps is a plus. Only thing that sucks about it is that it's short.

Honestly no. I can understand why some people may feel it's not worth it but I'm satisfied with my purchase. I like the different setting (city setting made it feel closer to home) the feeling of vulnerability (youre not an unstoppable superhuman) and fighting against waves of enemies as a team in firefight.

I could have gone without buying it. havn't picked it up since I beat SP. I tried out the new maps online, but tbh Halo's online just doesn't have that "X-Factor" (as Jeremy Clarkson puts it) for me anymore (other wise known as "just not feeling it"). FireFight was alright. I really bought it to play through it with a friend of mine. lousy ******* already traded his copy back into gamestop for a PSP Go. never even did Co-Op with me before he did. and now it's not worth squat for trade in. so meh. live and learn I guess. and I'll probably just rent Reach when it comes out.

No regrets. Campaign took me 8 hours to finish the first time. Second time I went through it I hunted down all of the audio logs and that took another 8 hours. Basically, I put in 16 hours for the campaign alone on a game that some weirdos were telling me they completed in two hours on Legendary solo.... Yeah.

I can see five hours for some though. However, I judged ODST based on the new disc and to me the game was worth $60. The fact that I didn't download any Halo 3 maps before (I don't like paying money for extra stuff) just made the fact that I bought $30 worth of maps for free a pretty sweet deal!

The campaign might only last 5 hours if you just rush to the flashback sections. That's not the way ODST was meant to be played. You're supposed to take your time and search the city for the audio logs. Just finding all 30 audio logs took me over 5 hours.

Also, playing on a difficulty harder than Normal is a good idea. The easier it is, the quicker you'll finish it. Play it on Heroic, leave it alone for a few months, go back and play it on Legendary. That's what I did. I haven't gone back for Legendary yet though.

Play something else in between beating it on Heroic and Legendary. I suppose if ODST is the only game you own, playing something else isn't possible. Surely everyone has enough games so they don't have to play the same game over and over?

No, I don't regret purchasing ODST. I knew what to expect coming into it. It was a fun game all around. Sure, it could have been better but that doesn't mean it's a bad game.

I have mixed feelings on it. The campaign was dull and firefight was a drag. The Halo MP disk is nice though and the only reason I'm keeping it.(i got rid of just Halo 3)

I would have had regrets if I hadn't sold it on for pretty much the same price I paid for it. The campaign was ok but the Story was dull and the characters didn't interest me at all. Firefight was pretty meh and I wasn't that bothered about the Halo 3 maps. So for me it was pretty disapointing.

I bought ODST, and traded it in a day later. I was pressured by friends to buy it, even though I didn't like Halo 3. I just don't like Halo, period. And the thing is, I never trade games in. I love collecting games almost as much as playing them (even though I don't have the time anymore). That should say how bad I though ODST was.

I'm not sure why everyone complains about the price.. Just look for sales because it was only $40 at Toys R Us with a $13 action-figure.. Seriously it takes five minutes tops to look up sales. I played it at a friends house and it was a lot of fun. They told you EXACTLY what was in the game and if you read some reviews they would tell you what the length of the campaign was..

I think quite a few people were disappointed, considering that whenever I walk into a game shop, I can never find anything released in the past 6 months used, but there's always at least 3-5 copies of ODST used on the shelf. I'll wait until it's half-priced somewhere before I pick it up for the multiplayer maps.

No, had a blast playing co-op multiple times with my friends. Heck I even enjoyed helping some of the GS users with their achievements.
