Well I'm trying to renew my xbox live because my time has ran out for my account. when i sign in to xbox live it says i cant go on and that i have to update my profile. When i click it, it goes to the screen with account management but before i can even do anything it just gets of the screen so i cant do anything. I have no idea what to do i tried turning of my system and when i test my connection i have perfect connection but cant connect to xbox live cuz yah my subscribtion ran out. Please and thank you for all your help.
yeah if you have a card you bought from the store go to marketplace and on the bottom of the screen you should see " Redeem Code" and enter the code thats on the Xbox Live Subscribtion Card.
Same exact issue my friend. I called support and turns out my buddy had his account banned since he never payed. Anyways, you may need to call, and they will give u a # for a place to rid the bans. then, go to target or somewhere and get a subscription card and enter it on xbox .com when you sign in.

Sorry then, I can't help you. I have mine set up to renew automatically with a credit card that I have on file in my account. Last year, I switched to a new credit card and my Live didn't renew. I had to go in and add my new credit card before it would renew. I thought that maybe you had a similar issue.
