Rented Gears and Vegas.. wow they ****

I just rented Gears and Vegas after everyone is like best games etc etc.

After about an hour playing each, I stopped. They are both like the same... run, take cover, shoot enemies. Over and Over and Over again.

Like whats teh bgi deal with these games?

Sure the graphics are good.. but thats about it.

I dunno, maybe shooters just arnt my thing.

I'm deffinently gonna say Shooters aren't your thing and you cannot respect games for what they are.

Gears of War-Highly rated and very hyped game that deserves everything and more for being such a great game except the fact that its half a game and that we are missing the rest of the 1st chapter.

Rainbow Six Vegas: The best of all Rainbow games and shows off amazing online play and offline to make anyone that has a half of an intellegent brain keep to it.

Both of these games highly are on my reccommendation for new users to the great 360..

ha thats funny... buddy, ive been playign Tom Clancy games online since Rainbow Six, what you've ecently discovered via XBOX Live ive been experiencing since you were in middle school. Via Cable Modem and online PC play.

I might be a new user to the 360, but the most fun games for console I have to say are sports games.

Shooters and RPGS are covered very well via PC gaming.

Be careful. There's lots of people on here who think you can't make topics about things you don't like.

Anyway, I liked Gears single player. I hate the multi-player. I've had R6 for months but I couldn't get into the single player game either. I don't like it to be honest. I haven't tried R6V online yet but I hear its awesome.

I won't sell R6. I'll get round to the MP eventually. It's just that I don't spend a lot of time online. I prefer the campaign side of games.

Same here. Different strokes for different folks. I thought Gears online in the first months it was out was some of the best online gaming ever. I really dug the 4v4... when you get a lot of people in other games everyone's just usually doing their own thing and teamwork is optional.

Guess I've accumulated a nice 360, Wii, GC, N64, PS2, GC, (every Nintendo handheld), SNES, NES, and Atari (among others) collection for nothing :( I happen to think Lost Planet is the best shooter on the 360. What are you gonna do about it? Flame me? Well good luck, because I'm flame-proof. Gears is the most overrated game in history imo, whose only redeeming qualities are a stereotypical black guy and chainsaws. Also, I didn't put RSV down in any way. I happen to think Gears is average at best, although I'll be buying it when it comes out for PC because it will actually have a good amount of extra (free) content by then. Lost planet is actually a awsome experience. Its boss battles were amazing and its online is fun and addicting.

i agree gears is over rated but not all over rated only the multiplayer is very much hyped and it only have teamdeath match mode , i dont care about all other modes because the game is slow as hell when you die you should wait to respawn , dam boring. but r6v is my best now.

So shooters aren't your thing, yet you state they are superior on pc and you have been playing them for a long time. Kinda seems you just dont like 360 shooters for some reason. so why don't you just play shooters on your pc then?

So ive been playing Gears for the past 4 hours...

Seems all there is to do in that game is..... run.... take cover... shoot.... shoot.... run.... take cover... shoot... With an occasional cocky comment from the characters and swearing.

And whats fun is I get to tshoot the same enemies over and over again! GOod thing I didnt buy the game, I was close to doing so.

Tomorrow, i'm going to invest more time in Vegas and see if I can get into it.. but GoW def not.

I'll stick with Fight Night and NCAA.

I don't know how anyone can not like Gears of War, it's like teh best game ever. And about the online if you don't like the trashtalkers just mute them problem solved. Same with every other 360 onlinegames.UltimateRAGEX

heh I'm the other way around. Gears is a really fun, but Vegas was awful. Those "take cover while hoards of enemies rush you from every direction" were the worst. Honestly I had more fun with GRAW 2.

id like to know the same thing my friend. I owned both at one point, sold vegas, didnt get to play it much but still have gears.

Gears is terrible, its very basic, it doesnt exlain anything about...anything in the story, the online is very small and nothing special at all. 4vs4 is the biggest teams? I mean seriously, not to mention its very buggy. Its just an all around bad game with good graphics.

What was I expecting?

Maybe a half decent story line, and for me to actually care about the characters and what they're fighting for.

If gears was MGS-esque.. with a lot more cinamatics, drama, and storyline... they yeah it would be amazing.

Isn't every game that basic when you break it down that way? You just drive in racing games. You just shoot in shooters. You just jump around and get coins/rings/whatever in platform games. You can't trivialize games that way because broken down, most games are the very much the same.
