Hey gamers, i know re5 isn't going to be out for awhile but i currently read a article by someone by the name of Bonnie Ruberg. She said that this game wasa sign of racism, and isa sign to target young children to have hate on African American, what i want to know is do you think that this whole racism thing will get re5 banned? any thoughts?
i dont think it is at all, i hadint thought anything about it till i read that artical as for me i cant wait till it comes out just worried it might get banned becuase people saying its racism, down right stupid
and Cj in grand theft auto sa, you play as an african american and you can shoot up as many white people as you want...nobody complained about that....as soon as capcom intruduces african american as an enemy it automatically becomes rasicism...wow

If the game is set in South Africa, how do you expect the people to be a different race? In a continent where 95-97% of the population is black, how do you expect the people to be?
IMO the game is not racist at all. If so, you'll also have to target RE4 to Spaniards, every Tom Clancy Game for the 360 and Mexicans, and the list goes on.
Imagine how racist would it be if you know the game is set in South Africa and everybody is Caucasian...

i try to think not, but it would be much less obvious if they made the protagonist a black dude as well. i don't really think it was their intention to make it look racist, but people pick at anything and call it racism.

Yes, you can shoot up as many white people as you want, but that is not wut the game is about and you don't gain any experience towards beating the game if you do. Thats just like any other shooting game. If your white you could just shoot the black people if you wanted, but it's not helping u beat the game and the other races will kill you. Besides GTA is a free roaming game. It's about doin whatever you want when u r not in a mission. So u kill 1000 white people....who cares your not any closer to beating the game. And none of the missions is to kill a certain race. Maybe a gang, but there are different races in each gang so wutever...
i'm black and i don't think RE5 is racist. i'll shoot a zombie of any race. heck, in RE4 we were killing a bunch of spanish people. i didn't see anyone in puerto rico complaining very much. people need to relax. it's just a game.

ok, well lets see. She feels it's a racist game?...then she better hope she's not african american because the influence of RE5 might make me want to shoot her. Like how i haven't gone crazy yet since all the M-rated "racist" games have been on the market...*sarcasm*. All of a sudden RE5 is the target when RE4 had no problems. ... this woman needs to just stop being a hypocrit and find a better hobby like learning cultures.

honestly it's all in the mind and what kind of thoughts you process from the experiences you have. If you mimic actions at an early age, you're bound to have negative results...it's common sense. This is why games have ratings, if it was up to me i would'nt make M-Rated games available o 17+...more like 21+ ... because either way 18+ will get a hold of them, but adults buying games for their kids will be more cautious if they see 21+ ...

i understand completely, this is why the XBL experience is shot down when head-sets could be more fun to use if it wasn't for the under-aged kids. Parents in this generation really don't care because quite frankly they fail as parents and don't know how to raise their children. Anything to get them off their backs. I was introduced to games at the age of 10 and began playing M-Rated games at 15...never once was i violent from the influence of a video game. It really all just matters on your mind and how you think about the world in general.
Here in the UK we've had two/three banned games. Carmaggedon (unbanned on appeal). Manhunt (in some storesdue to a guy murdering his best friend with a hammer; most of the press blamed the game, failing to mention that he was also on heroin). Manhunt 2 (everyone knows this was banned because they didn't want a repeat incident of Manhunt).
it's really up to the parents, if they're good parents, they will prevent their child (who's under 17) to get their hands on RE5. of course that won't happen but if it did there wouldn't be all this racism crap.
Frankly, if the child has a stable psyche they should be allowed to play violent games. Games with sex in though... I don't know. I'm happy not to have played on one. Those games are why gaming is still not really considered as mainstream. Despite the fact that there are only about five out there compared to the number of mainstream movies (yeah not including porn) that have the dirty deed in them.

A white person going out and hitting a black person is only a race crime if the white person did it because the person they hit is black, putting that in the context of the game it will be only racist if the main character is shooting the enemys because theyblackand i will definatly be shootin them because they our zombies tryin to eat my brain or whatever zombies our into the days.
