RIP Xbox 360...

If you look at the picture, you can see that the air vents aren't blocked. And I've never played 360 for 10 hrs. I get sick after playing about 2 hrs straight.

I still think it's because you have a pink controller, which I find very disturbing.

The posts in this thread reminded me why I don't usually come to gaming forums. It's not uncommon for someone to be on their 5th 360, more unlucky and his placement seems fine it really depends what his room is like with airflow and such. It's somewhat disheartening how everyone is saying the TC is lying about it when the 360 is the least resilient mainstream console built in the last 20 years. Get your heads out of your asses people, he isn't lying and the response shouldn't be to "stop **** and send to MS, just trying 2 get ppl 2 buy ps3".

and btw - somewhere long time ago on this forum i saw a post with some reason for why you get the rrod, and it was not alway because it was broken.

Remeber back in the day...

when consoles never broke, and games were not either really great, or really awful.

and even the simplest games would last for hours and hours.

I found her Pink controller Cute. O.o You should try another place for your xbox360. Away from your HD-DVD and Monitor because they are both heat producer and will cause your xbox360 to get hotter O.o. Also is bad to always be turning on and off your xbox360 continuously on a day. If you played for 2 hours let it rest for like an hour or two. not 10 mins cause it will overheat. You May also try an intercooler if you want to. Just keep it on a ventiladed area where it can breathe

thats why my friend hadan xbox that kept overheating and Mircrosoft along with many other have said they take up too much engergy and have caused overheating. YOu might be lucky but on the regular 360 the fans weren't made to good and the intercooler didn't really help people.

I just got my 360 replaced from Best Buy. No hassle what so ever. Walked in and told them I had RRoD and they even gave me $30 dollars credit since the elite dropped $30 dollars.

My new 360 seems to be a LOT queiter. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that this one will last me until Xbox 720 comes out.

mine is in an open area and fully ventilated and still got RROD.I had only been playing 20 minuts so it didnt have time to overheat. just died. waiting on mine to come back from microsoft nowTylerdurdn71

As i said. People who treat there 360's like new born baby's are idiots. I have mine in a fairly warm area right next to a large amplifier (which is on while i play my 360) and i have had my elite 10 or so months without a hiccup
