I am thinking of buying Rock Band 2 but I don't know if it comes with instruments at the time of purchase. Also, can anybody provide me with reasons whether I should/should not buy this game? Is it worth the money? What changes are there between 1 and 2? Thanks.

You have to buy the bundle to get the instruments. RB2 has better instruments and 84 songs on the disc.

Any idea on how much the bundle costs? Do you need to assemble it? Is it hard to take home?

The game comes in a box, unless you are 5 year old it is easy to carry and the same goes for assembling it, it's beyond easy.

It's a great game too and it goes for $189 for the complete set, which includes wireless drums, wireless guitar, wired microphone and a copy of the game.
