I am on my fourth 360 and I've only had this one 5 months and today I got RRD while downloading the lara croft live game.

I turned the console off and on a few times and then it seemed ok, played the game for an hour with no probs.

I know this console has the later jasper chipset so was surprised when I saw the flashing lights. Yesterday I did have to move cables about at the back of my TV, maybe that has something to do with it? Have ensured all cables are properly in 360 and power supply.

Anyone else experience this. RRD then console works ok

I had that happen to my second 360 console. It did work fine for awhile afterwards but eventually it finally died a month or two later. Just before it went kaput i got several of the error messages and games would lock up.

If you got a true RRoD and it works afterward, that is only temporary. The RRoD will crop up again eventually. And if the console works again after that, the RRoD will come back again after a shorter time span. That grace period of the console working will get shorter and shorter until eventually, the console won't ever work again. The next time it happens, send it in to MS.

RROD simple means general hardware failure. It doesn't mean your console is dead. It can mean something as simple as you connected some wires wrong.

It depends on the number of red lights. Four red lights are related to AV cables not being firmly plugged in I believe. But if he has 3 red lights, that's trouble.

Yeah your correct, 3 still can mean it's simple a problem with the power brick tho, it doesn't mean your SOL.
