What do you think of RTS games on the 360.
Do you think there here to stay or going No where.

I love them... the only thing I don't like about the two I have (Command and Conquer 3 and Battle for Middle Earth 2)... is the less features available on 360... like BFME has no custom hero creator and C&C3 has a max unit amount on 360 when on PC you can create your own heroes and there is no unit cap...
Other than that I like them... a lot more people to play online on consoles and less hassle with patches... people who complain about performance do so because they play on a monster $1000+ computer with all the graphics up with all the units they want.. consoles are $350 and the fact that you can run both of the games I mentioned at the same specifications as most $1000+ computers with high details activated in 1080p (1920x1080 Resolution) I think it is worth it to have slow downs in massive battles... and they were still even playable... I played a helms deep siege mission online the other day and the 3 enemies had hundreds of units and I had no slow-down...
Now, not to spark any kind of back lash, but I really think that the Wii is the best system in terms of control for RTS games. I find that on the PC they play wonderfully, with the mouse and all, but the wii's remote pointer is probably the best way to deal with the control scheme for these types of game. I love my 360 lots, but I just can't play RTS games on it. next gen ms should add teh pointing feature, it adds a lot to gameplay... but they don't need to add tilt or motion snesing, i'm getting sick of that.Phazevariance
too much effort for me, hahaha.....I work all day and I don't want to have to go home and point
I play games to wind down and relax after the kiddies are put to bed
I'm not much good at them ,but RTS' are fun all the same. I've tried C&C3, the coltrol system is OK.
