Ive been around since the day live launched on original xbox, its always been there and is never gunna go anywhere. The only thing you can do is lip back.

The only way to play on Live is to get together with a group you know and go from there. Pick up groups on any game - any platform - over the internet tend towards comfirming the Greater Internet ****wad theory (see Penny Arcade). Could've been worse though, you could have been using the camera... *shudder*

Unfortunately this is the case downside with playing online. If need be, just mute them. Sorry about your bad experience, but don't let those jerks get to you.Â
It's a shame, but they are right. You can't do anything. I stopped wearing my headset if I don't know who I am playing with. These kids (mind you, it's not all kids, but mostly) have nothing better to do. That's the biggest problem with live, but I can't see any way around it.
The problem on live isnt the swearing as much as everyone being the tough guy when they are on. Its absurd. Some 12 year old kids going to kick a 20-25 year old that he will never meet's a**. Seriously. I for one think that there should be age restrictions to the gamer zones.

Have persay a PRO gamer zone for the under 18 crowd, and a PRO gamer zone for the over 18 crowd... that would seperate the men form the boys.

Honestly though it doesnt really bother me that much. You just have to deal with it. I know I have a foul mouth sometimes, and wouldnt want to get banned for it. Although I rarely go for personal attacks against people, I usually just blurt out some of my foavorite words sometimes.
thats very unfortunate. my advice to is to mute them. theres always gonna be people like that on xbox live but then again there good people on xbox live also so dont hate the hole thing because of one bad experience.
I rarely meet total jerks on Live, but when I do, I just mute them. No biggie. There's always gonna be jackasses on Live, (and in real life), so get used to it. Anyone who would get to the point that their "blood is boiling" over some immature punks on Live probably should stay away from it.
I Know exactly what you mean. They just do it over nothing, they don't even follow the game properly they just come on to mess about, live is riddled with this type of rubbish as is any online voice activated arena. Its a shame to have to pull the headset out as not all players are like that, its a shame you cant mute individuals and still hear everyone else as that would be enough for me. I find myself on less these days and generally only play when my mates are on or do the single player gaming. Its pointless complaining as nothing gets done otherwise we would all be banned after retaliations etc. They cant differentiate the truth from the bull so would end up with load's of banned people who ain't done nowt wrong. Put them as none prefferd and avoid, one day you will have filtered most out and will only play descent people who are there to game and game alone.
Just ignore it. You don't have to take it personally since they say that to everyone regardless of how much of an mfer they really are. If you want to, you could just insult his sexuality until he leaves. That seems to work wonders on thos people.

you run into people like this everywhere, not just on live. Playin CS:S, i think there were like 3 punk ass kids in every room, and world of warcraft has the most trash-talking , annoying people of any game ive ever played. Gotta just get used to it.
Try not being from the US, I rarely speak if the room doesnt have any English in because they usually just insult the way I speak before they even listen of what I have to say.
Some of the s*** I hear online is ridiculous. I got called a homo 'caused I owned everybody in a multi player game of COD3 not too long ago. Then I guess they got tired of calling me gay and just assumed my reason for ownage was that I had to be asian with a little pecker. happend 2 me aswell , ive played GRAW2 ,team elimination , just got in the server , someone said , he you fuc**** european fa* , go su** to blair you pri** , i sayed , okkk..... , ingored him , then on the game itself , i killed like 4-5-6 ppl in a row ,then he said , fu** u german fa*(im not german) , and he kicked me....

If you can play a game on live with someone you know personally as a friend, it instantly improves the experience. Its one of the reasons i didnt buy gears because that game makes it impossible to party up with your friends which sucks balls unless your a total loner.

I completely agree. If you can play a game on live with someone you know personally as a friend, it instantly improves the experience. Its one of the reasons i didnt buy gears because that game makes it impossible to party up with your friends which sucks balls unless your a total loner.
I play with friends all the time in Gears, player matches.Â

Not to bad mouth all americans, since there are some cool ones, but gennerally all the a$$holes i meet on live are from that part of the world. Yes i said it, THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES ON THIS PLANET. You wouldnt think there are talking to an American.

Seriously learn to deal with it, there has always and will always be trash talk during games. Yes there are idiots out there that say stupid things but thats even the more reason to laugh at them when you beat them.
@ V4LENTINE Oh sorry, i only rented the game and didnt really get a kick out of the live experience so i didnt really explore the game much. Maybe Gears is better than i thought.
