Ok, question. If my Halo 3 edition xbox gets the red ring of death and I can send it in and get a refurbished one like everyone else does, will I be able to receive a refurbished Halo 3 edition or just the standard white edition?

I'm sorry to hear about your box. Knowing M$ you're gonna get screwed.

Well, luckily it hasn't happened just yet, but it happened to my friend's, and he mentioned that xbox freezing is a sign that it might happen soon, and mine freezes about once a week. So yea, I'm starting to mentally prepare myself lol.

What they will most likely do is replace the motherboard in your 360 and leave the chassis as is. Before you send it in you will want to take the face plate off as well. Just so it doesn't get "lost". At the end of this year they should come out with a new motherboard that supposedly isn't supposed to do the RROD. So if your Xbox gets it again after the end of this year they should replace it with the new motherboard.

i saw an unboxing video on youtube(don't know the link) of a kid with a Halo 3 xbox that got red ringed, and he got the same one back. Plus I just got my 360 back today, its not a halo 3 one though, but it was the same one I sent out. So I'd say you have nothing to worry about.
