So you're basing this repair on some dude who has a Youtube channel and is charging you $75?? You're crazy man, where is the written guarantee for his services? Warranty after fixing the issue? This sounds way too shady and you're just gonna end up getting robbed. Dude, just cough up the extra $25 and send it to Microsoft.
and prolly another 10-15 days or so of waiting yeah i already ordered the box to my house (im away at college now) i wanted to make this decision in the next day or so before i send my 360 back home to meet the box to be shipped off but i mean i have a lot of information about this guy and youtube prolly has his IP addresses in case there ends up being a crime but i think he's legitSo you're basing this repair on some dude who has a Youtube channel and is charging you $75?? Hey man, it's your life and your money, do what you want. I'm just trying to give you some good advice. Yes, he may be legit and he may fix the issue for a lower cost, but what if it doesn't fix the issue? Is he going to refund your money or cover the shipping costs to have it fixed again? What if it breaks within a week? Will he guarantee his repair for a certain period of time? IDK, I just would never trust someone to work on an expensive piece of electronics without any type of backup plan. I'm telling you, you're much better off just paying MS. Anyways, I'm done ranting to you...good luck bro and let us know how it goes!

What crime could he be committing? If you do not sign anything than he does not have to do anything for you.
Yeah you guys have good points and I already ordered the box so I guess I'll just commit to sending the 360 to M$. Prolly won't be on again till like May 14 or so.NicAgent
Thank you....I feel better knowing that you won't get ripped off. It's just not worth it. You're doing the right thing. We 360 owners look out for each other!!

i was also looking into buying an Xbox 360 arcade tomorrow or something to be traded back in upon the return of my repaired system - but doing so (I just called EB Games) would only net me $110 back out of the $280 it costs. Since the repair for the E74 is $100, doing this would save no money ($170 for the 3 week "rental" of the X360 arcade plus $100 for the repair = $270, only $10 shy of the cost of the X360 arcade) and if I can't wait a few weeks it actually makes the same sense to forego the repair process entirely.not sure but it would prolly be jumping to too many conclusions to say he stole all of them... but you do bring up a good point but really why would he want to do a fake business like this he knows he's gonna be caught if hes on YouTube all the time they can trace his IPshttp://youtube.com/watch?v=rE6crCrQL4o
Where did hi get those Xboxes?

I just read something saying how the error might be related to the power supply and not the system it's self. So, I would recommend finding a PSU you could use to test this theory.Heaventorndoubt it... though i did plug my 360 into a power strip maybe i could try plugging it directly into the wall but im not feeling hopeful at all about doing that
