Ever since I played the Shadowrun beta I've been singing this game's praises around here, but everyone has recieved my words with great skeptisism (I tell people it's better than the Halo 3 beta, which in my mind it is.) Anyway, as a fan of the original RPG game I was skeptical too I guess, but I tell you what, when the demo hits next week, and word of mouth gets going around, this is going to be THE GO TO GAME on Live. It's the deepest, most balanced online shooter I've ever played... and I've played plenty. It's so fun, and I can see myself playing it for years to come.
In short ,YOU THERE... GO BUY SHADOWRUN NOW! I give it a 9.8/10
And look me up online if you do... the name's PerfectConsumer. I like being a ninja-elf
I'd say it's interesting, but it's hardly entertaining unless you are interested in its style of gameplay. It's team-based only, there are no re-spawns, instead there is a convoluted resurrection system, and you have to deal with culmulative load-out purchases and setup to take full advantage of the options available. There is no clan support and a limited selection of maps at the moment despite being an online-only game (off-line bot battles don't count as singleplayer).
This is a game you have to stay in and play to fully see its potential. It requires some experimentation and a lot of teamwork due to the role of the artifact even in the mode that is essentially team deathmatch. There are a lot of great elements and options, but that certainly doesn't make it entertaining on its face. The average shooter fan will find its more work and maybe less fun because of all of its innovations.
Shadowrun is a well designed game and will appeal to a lot of people, but for those of us who enjoy some running-and-gunning and the simple glee of having fun your own way, you really need to check it out first if you're on a limited budget. I know I'll be playing some more but it's too much for casual pick-up-and-play a few rounds fun.

Ciao :)Â
I want this game so much but my mum says that I have got to wait yet another two weeks until my exams are over:cry:
I was gonna buy it today, but of course my 360 had to get fried last night....uggh. Anyone know if there's any way I can get it fixed for free even though it's a launch system and the warranty expired?kapp1
MS Extended the warranty again...call them and get that FIXED! Â
yep, i feel its the "best game" every time a new one comes out thats supposed to be good. gears of war is the true champion still, shadowrun's graphics are too poor for it to be a contender for "the best". gears of war's gameplay is much more exciting as well, shadowrun came too late!! (p.s. i own shadowrun i prordered it even) hopefully gears raised the bar. imagine shadowruns options with gears of war's graphics and gameplay- that would be the "best online" game ever.guppieface
See I think Shadowrun has far deeper mechanics and options. Its more than guns in Shadowrun - exposing interesting rock paper scissors type gameplay...and GoW doesn't have midgets.

lmao, I would off stopped playing right there cause I would of seen enough. but my gamertag is MrBigShot100, i'm going to add you right now, i'll definiltely be on tonight so i'll get at you.
Bought it yesterday. even though the gameplay is pretty fun, no leaderboards, only 3 game modes, and only 6 or so maps, this $60 multplayer only game is seriously lacking. Even Halo 2 has more options in its multiplayer and it also had a single player!
I also thought there would be more races to choose from and that the overall game would be more "RPG'ish"... There are really only a few magic spells to choose from, and most arn't even that cool.
IMO its a rental. And after playing this, i realized how much i love the Halo gameplay and feeling, because Shadowrun's "feeling" just didnt feel right to me
Gaaaa, This game looks so awesome, I was going to buy it yesterday, and what do you know, I got carded at Gamespot.......ross131313

[QUOTE="whitelightnin27"]I was skeptical on a game that was based solely on multiplayer, but this is the best multiplayer to date, to be honest it blows the halo 3 beta out of the waterkrp008
 not even by a long shot
Opinions are like A-Holes. If you like class variety, Halo 3 is not terribly exciting. I was a battlefield 2 man for a long long time, and Shadowrun is scratching that itch so much it's bleeding. Halo 3, notsomuch. Please Log In to post.
