Should I buy Halo 3...?

Now, before I get started I just want to say that I'm not a Halo fan at all.

That being said...Halo 3 has undoubtably the best online multiplayer on the 360, and I'd like to get the most out of the $60 CDN that I paid for XBL. I love online shooters..CSS, TF2, COD4, etc. so would Halo 3 be worth it? It'd be purely for the online.

Get CoD 4 before you get Halo 3. I have both and Halo 3 is doing nothing but collecting dust. CoD 4 is a much better game in all aspects. Halo 3 is a good game, but its Matchmaking system is very broken Imo and the gameplay just isnt that great! I mean there are only so many times I can play TS on The Pit, Narrowsor Construct! Every game turns out the same way on those maps. On The Pit, everyone rushes to the Rocket Launcher and Invis and then trys to hold the Sword room!! Narrows is all about the Snipers and Shottys and cheap grenade tosses and Construct is all about the top level......ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

Trust me when I say that CoD 4 offers much, much more in terms of gameplay and fun!!! The fact that when you level in CoD 4, you actually get to keep that level and not drop because the teams you play on suck!!! I think is is utter crap that you can be a level 30 on Halo 3 and in a matter of a few bad matches, you will drop to a 27 because the teams you played with couldnt win! You also unlock new weps, camos and other extras as you move up in ranks in CoD 4. Halo 3 offers no such reward for your play time aside from a few lame armor permientations!

You can get Halo 3 if you want. I thought the game play,campaign and vechicles were awesome.

It's up to you though.No matter what we say in the end it's you who has to decide.It's not like your going to die or anything if you buy Halo 3. It's really good, plus the Legenedary pack rocks man.

just because you didn't find it good doesn't mean nobody else should get halo3 pal its so big that its gonna take alot more than some gamespot nerds to bring it down.

DUDE HALO 2 HAS BETTER MAPS AND MATCHMAKING.

plus it's more fun cause you can use reload combos and keep shooting forever and ever....

I like it. The campaign is OK(Better than Halo 2's, but nowhere neat Halo 1's)

I really like it's online though, although they need to hurry up & relase some more maps.

Yes you have to get it. Its not only good for competitive play but also good for casual. Its definitially worth the money. What other good online games are out there anyways.
