If you plan on getting them both anyway, (why you dont have either right now i dont know), then i say get the PS3 and wait for the newer 360 models, although ive never had an issue with mine, alot of people have had issues with the older ones.

because i stupidly bought a wii(it sucked so much damn penis most gimmicky bludey system ever and nintendo were twits for making it. ds shouldve been the console cause it kicks its ass) and used all my money on it and now its sold i have enough money for either a 360 or ps3 but not both atm.

Get a PS3, wait for the chance for a better 360 model. Assassins creed, Call of Duty are good on both platforms, and hopefully Little big planet will come out soon enough.

360 has better games imo but PS3 is starting to build it's own good library. I bought a PS3 for Christmas and have only used it to watch Blu-rays on it. It has good games but most of those good ones are already on 360.

The 360 is, as far as I'm concerned, still the system to own at the moment. That might change sooner or later, depending on when the PS3's game lineup gets stronger.

From what I've heard, the 360s that are currently on store shelves are actually the "new model" that you're referring to, so (hopefully) the RROD issue is completely squashed. If not, you've still got Microsoft's stellar 3 year warranty free of charge.

I've always maintained that, sooner or later, I would end up owning both systems, and I'm actually considering picking up a PS3 in the next week or so once the good ol' income tax refund arrives. :)

if ur thinking of the 360s with the falcon chips, they are already out. and they can still get the rrod but its less likely because it is supposed to run cooler. and also u will most likey get a biasd vote here on the 360 forum. take this to system wars if u rly want to c what ppl think.

If you're wanting to pick up a console and start playing good solid games right now, I'd say get the 360, hands down. If you're cool with waiting a few months to really get into gaming, you could stand to wait for a PS3.

However, with that said, it's hard to say whether or not the Playstation 3 will have a great lineup of a games yet.

I guess what I'm trying to say is get yourself a 360.
