the ending is reallllly unsatisfying. If your looking for payoff and trudging through the game, dont.
plus the sequel doesnt really seem related and the gameplay will not be as annoying. I say just wait for the new one.
I agree. it was pretty repetitive. but not totally boring. the leap of faith was amazing :DI personally didn't like it, but its your choice. Some people love it, some hate it, some don't care for it. I though it was really repetetive and extremely boring. Your choice!

About 4 months ago I played it... and hated it.
...Then just a week ago I re-installed it and had an absolute blast with it. The story is amazing, and the main character doesn't insult your intelligence.
If anything, go play Prince of Persia, then play Assassin's Creed. Worked for me anyway...
Yeah, it's only flaw was the repetitiveness. I like to add the games graphics also made it more enjoyable too. The cities looked beautiful.It is repetitive
but the story and gameplay are great
i just love it..

But its a sequel.. It is related. You still start the game out as Desmond again. You got back to the past again. if you plan on playing the second one It wouldn't hurt to play the first one.the ending is reallllly unsatisfying. If your looking for payoff and trudging through the game, dont.

It's a trilogy of course thier related, Its a great game, trust me its alot less repetitive then the mega hyped FPS you always see people harping on about. The only thing repetitive about it is the missions to the assassination. The assassinations themselves are all unique and can be approached in a number of ways, Think about it this way, don't you do the same thing over and over in Halo, the same thing over and over in Gears, the same thing over and over COD? If the repetition in those games are fine by you, then you wont have a problem with Assassins Creed, I recommend it.I think if you didnt enjoy it the first time theirs nothing thats going to pop up in the game that will suck you into it.
People who love this game must also enjoy playing with a paddle and a ball on a string for hours on end.
Or its people that enjoy a compelling narrative, great atmosphere a solid gameplay as opposed to constantly running down corridors, shooting the same enemies game after game with next to no story. I assume those people must enjoy watching grass grow in the winter.[QUOTE="Chico_Azteca"]Yeah, it's only flaw was the repetitiveness. I like to add the games graphics also made it more enjoyable too. agreed. still worth playing, id rent it and just wait for the new one.
I rented it a few weekends ago and made the mistake of attempting it after completing Ninja Gaiden 2.. I thought the game was quite bland whilst the combat system was a terrible joke !
If you enjoy repetitively climbing tall buildings just to open your maps, then by all means, give the game another chance, but if you did'nt like the game the first time, what makes you think that you would enjoy it again once you buy it for the second time ?!
let it go,try something new.

haha thats awsome i love assasins creed because it does have a great story and sweet gameplay, everyone calls it repetetive, well try doing things differently, try doing more stealth less all out warfare, try staying on rooftops and killing with throwing knives and such, i mean there are so many ways to approach most situations, i know some mission types are one way to go, but hey so are most games, for an action fix, assasins creed rocks
