should i give up cod4 for cod5?

well the new one is in ww2 but i like all the high tech wepons and stuff but cod5 has attack dogs flamthrowers and tanks

Plenty of people will still be playing COD4.

I have no intention of getting WaW because I don't want another WW2 shooter. The modern weapons of COD4 are far more enjoyable

imo u should drop cod4 for world at war... FREAKEN FLAMETHROWERS DUDE!!
+ i heard u can climb trees and becoz there are vehicles im assuming the maps would be huge too..

No you can't climb trees.

There is a place on a map where you can jump on several bits of scenery that get you high enough to jump up into one tree.

Ther have been lots of WW2 games this year, Battlefield bad company, Brothers in arms, COD World at war.

Modern FPS this year?, Haze I guess. Can't think of any others, no decent ones.

COD WaW is not like COD4, it steals the perks and prestige mode, but the actual gameplay is just not as well balanced, and that's the most important thing that Treyarch needed to work on. What's the good of running around with a rifle if it's horribly under powered and a tank can speed around wiping out everyone at will with a bunch of attack dogs to back it up. While yo call in artillery that does NOTHING AT ALL.

Game needed another 6 months in development, this beta came way to late for it to do any good. Game is out in a few weeks, it's not a beta, it's a demo,

i've been playing the cod5 beta and it just doesn't look good too me. since there are tanks its too much like battlefield 1942 with better graphics, but then the maps are still not huge and so tanks rape all. Then also on Roundhouse everyone gets under the map and makes it no fun. I understand that they will eventually patch that but the other maps will probably have the same problems. And then also, with the red dot sight coming after the silencer you now have to wait for 50-75 kills just to get a red dot like sight called the aperture sight with is WAY worse than the red dot. Anf finally, why cod5 < cod4, because of the fact that the maps are SO open you can get instantly raped from just about anywhere on the map. I've been completely crossed mapped, and have completely cross mapped people with pistols and bazookas before! wtf is with that?

I agree, at first I liked the beta, it's only when you dig a little deeper you realise there are some serious problems with this game.
