It depends on your setup.

I'm a student living in an apartment so I dont want to do any permanent cabling. So, i'm using all wireless networking for my roomies and me. The only problem I find with my wireless network is that its a tad bit slower than what it was with the cable.

I bought the official wireless network adapter for the 360 and I love it. Before that I tried using those wireless cable extenders but I hated it because you had to unplug it and hook it up to a comp to do any configurations. With the adapter, all the settings are on the 360. For me it was worth it for all the hassle it saved me.

In my opinion, if it's feasible to lay a cable along a skirting board (or even under a carpet if theres no-one walking over the top of it) you should as they are generally faster and more stable than a wireless connection; not to mention the fact that they are much cheaper.

Ethernet, last thing you want to do is pay for wifi which will give you more issues.

wired is definitely more stable, but wireless is more convenient.

You can answer this question yourself by asking yourself a few things.

1. can I run an network cable so it is unobtrusive and not unsightly.

if yes then stick to cable.

if no then look at a wireless adapter.

I don't think it will be rocket science to work out if you can run the cable to where you need it but only you can do that.

cheers
