Its not the only reason, however it did prompt me to upgrade to HD before I probably would have without it. I already had a surround system in my home theatre, so that was no big deal. I did replace my old 60" projection TV for a 52" HDTV.
I would like an HDTV because theyre nice. The main reason I would want one though is to play video games on it though. I already had surround sound for my computer before my 360 though
The 360 had me jump on the HD bandwagon a little sooner than I was planning on and it was totally worth it. I had a surround system for many years before the 360 though.
I had been really wanting one and after I bought my 360 my wife finally felt sorry enough for me and let my buy one. Surround sound is next on my list of things to do.
An un-named system is a primary reason for why i've invested in home theatre equipment.....That and my love for the two rival optical disc-based hd formats.
it's one of the reasons why I have an hdtv and 5.1 surround sound system in my room. Basically every room in my house with an xbox 360 has an hdtv(3 rooms) but then the living room doesn't have a 360 but has an hd. So ya I have other hd devices but 360 was a primary reason.
It's one of the main reasons i have an HDTV. My last tv was dying (super old) so it was about time i got a new TV anyways but the reason i got it at that time was because i had bought the 360 and wanted to see it at it's full potential
it wasn't the only reason but it definately prompted me to get one.got my HDTV before the 360 officially hit stores to be ready for next gen graphics. i wanted my first 360 experience to have that amazing wow! factor and ohhhhh man did it ever. fight night round 3 in HD, amazing!
*SIGNED* ...in my gaming room I've got a Samsung 46'' HD-DLP w/ a killer mix of Sony (receiver and subwoofer) and Bose Surround Sound - just for the gaming baby:D ... You don't want to know what I got in the rest of the house... :twisted:
...and all hooked up to my Windows Vista PC via Windows Media Center... and yes my love for the 360 and gaming prompted most of this - minus the PC, I just love computers...
Buying the 360 definitely got me intrigued about HDTV's, and after researching HDTV's for the last 6 months or so, I settled on a 42" Westinghouse 1080p which arrived on Friday. I feel like I'm playing games that I've already beat, for the first time again. It looks amazing. The Wii, well, it actually looks like crap on my new TV. It's outputting at 480i instead of 480p. Has anyone else had this problem?
