I've been a huge fan on the Elder Scrolls Series all the way back to it's days in Morrowind for the PC/Xbox. I was curious to see what others thought of the newest installment, Skyrim. Was it as good as you had hoped and what makes it better than Oblivion to you? Thanks fellas.

Both are very good games, even though Skyrim might be a little more buggy at the moment I'd still say Skyrim.

I'm enjoying Skyrim significantly more and it's not even close. I hated the story and story missions of Oblivion...

Although I prefer most things in Skyrim I feel that its missing a main hub style city... like in Oblivion... where there were many different areas to that main city with things like the arena etc, and I know that skyrim is a different area but its just what I feel.

Skyrim by just a little bit. I enjoy the world and gameplay better in Skyrim but I liked the quests better in Oblivion. :)

short games arent always worse...and the game itself has over 200 hours of gameplay...how is that short? but skyrim anyways gets my vote...i always turned into a vampire on Oblivion

Skyrim is reminding me how much i loved Oblivion... It really had me captivated, much like Morrowind seems to enthrall anyone who played it first. Anyway Skyrim is all of those feelings and more, i find it pretty amazing.

That's a really tough question, and I do mean tough.
Both are great games in their own way, but it is difficult to say which is better.
The reason why is not easy is because both have the good things and not soo good things about them.

For instance I have played over 100 hours of gameplay in Oblivion and I have yet to finish it, and the only thing that I don't like about it is the crappy leveling system on how everything in the game levels with you. I just don't like that as that makes it somewhat no fun to play sometimes.

With Skyrim it is overall a better game or it atleast it tries to be, but it tries soo hard that in a way it fails at it. The story to me seems kinda boring compared to Oblivion, soo boring in fact that I have stopped playing it(atleast for now) only after playing about 30 hours of gameplay. The one good thing that I really like about Skyrim is that the leveling system is fixed and it is actually the way that games like this should be.
