I forget where I heard this, but I think it was from IGN, saying that Timesplitters 4 was set on course for Q4 of this year, but I find that hard to believe. Timesplitters is one of my favourite multiplayer games of all time, considering how many hours I dumped into the third one on the PS2. This game definately needs to come out! Have you guys heard anything about it?

I absolutely love the series. The developers, Free Radical, got picked up by I forgot who and were put to work on some other game so I doubt it will come out this year if ever.

The developers are working on another game at the minute, cant remeber which one but they have said in the past that they will make it if theres enough interest for it by the public, so all you guys that would like to see it should head over to there site and bombard there forums inorder toget the developers attention

I was a die-hard Perfect Dark/Goldeneye N64 fan mostly due to the multiplayer features, so a few friends and I played through some of the Timesplitters game's since they were developed by several ex-members of RARE who worked on the great N64 games, and I have to say they were rather disappointing in comparison to Perfect Dark on N64 and some of the newer FPS games that were out around the time the Timesplitters games came out. The controls were annoying, the game engine felt awkward, and the cartoonish graphic design was lame. The one redeeming aspect was the insanely fun multiplayer, and the incredible amount of depth it had, but all of those negative features I mentioned prevented this game from having long term use, but instead was a game I played for about a week or so with friends.... and then permanently never played again. However, I think a Timesplitters 4 would be great for the current-gen consoles because it would be completely different from all of the generic FPS games that have flooded the market over the past few years. If they kept/expanded on the immense depth of multiplayer and overhauled the gameplay engine, this could easily turn out to be one of the better FPS's to come along in a while.

Wasn't Free Radical bought by Crytek UK? If I remember correctly Crytek UK said that if enough people demand Timesplitters 4 they'll make it ... So... Make it already!

If this is true, I do think I need a change of pants. I own every Timesplitters game. Some of the best FPS around IMO.
I hope this doesn't delay the release of Haze 2 :DUT_Wrestler
Is haze that horrible game where you wear a yellow Helmet and something called Nectar is involved? If so, may the series Burn in Laggy, Buggy, Repetitive Hell.

the last thing known about Timesplitters 4 was when the people behind them got bought out or whatever and put to work on another project it now seems we will never get our beloved game or atleast not for a long time yet

shooting melons ahs never been that fun! i have TS2 on GCn and TS Future perfect for xbox, but its not 360 compatible :(

i loved the completion aspect of the arcade area, racing to get best times. but i also remember the game being EXTREMELY hard.
