I loved the game, but the bosses were such a let down. RE bosses are one of my favorite things in gaming, i think that RE4 had the best bosses of all time. Very challenging and fun to play.

RE5 on the other hand, not so much. In almost every single one you were given a weapon with infinite ammo to kill the boss with or a cheapy QTE or enviormental finish. Most of them looked awesome, especially the giant spider or scorpion or whatever that thing you fought on the circular elevator was. But none of them, save maybe one that almost got there, gave me the difficulty i've come to expect from an RE game.

They even had a boss that was a little more challenging version of the lambant Brumak, and we all know how much of a hit that one was.

Phase 1 Wesker was a cool enemy though, but again, waaay to easy.

The reason RE4's bosses were harder was probably because only one person was shooting at it. You never had Ashley with a TMP unloading on boss. In RE5, if you give Sheva any powerful weapon, the boss was cake automatically because you have two people shooting at it with powerful weapons.

I will agree with you though that on more than one boss we are given unlimited ammo. to take them down.

Maybe its just me but I have never thought the RE bosses were increadibly challenging.

Not incredibly challenging, but definately more so than other franchises. I was hoping for something like Krauser or IT. Those were RE boss fights.

Here's an idea, i haven't bought any infinite ammo yet. And any game can be hard when you put it on the highest difficulty, it's not going to make the bosses any more fun, just far more frustrating.

I agree with the topic poster and with you, Ceells87. The sub-bosses(see Executioner, first Chainsaw Dude, and Gatling Gunner, among others)are actually harder to beat than the main bosses. I thought the Jill fight would be harder as well. Nahhh. Right now I am right at the Excella boss fight and I am hoping for a real challenge.

I am sure that they will be harder on pro. MUCH harder.

The only thing hard on Pro was the fact that you go into dying status after 1-2 hits and have 1-2 seconds to be "revived" or healed. Not all bosses get harder, just the Wesker/Jill fight since on many occasions Wesker will kill you with his two-hit combo.

well then why would you bring up the infinite ammo in your reasoning. Plus the bosses are just as easy as the ones in 4 were. Everysingle boss fight is almost identical even. If you dont find it fun well thats one thing and that's completely fine cause its your tastes. but saying something isnt hard, yet including the same kind of bosses that were just as easy in 4 and infinite ammo seems rediculous

You didn't get what i was saying then. Examples of infinite ammo would be turrets, the flame thrower, satellite laser. And there were only 2 bosses that resembled anything from RE4. The El Gigante, which was a joke of a boss in RE5 and definitely not the same as in RE4. And Irving was margionally similar to the Lake boss in RE4, but that one was way better..........and the first boss in the game.

Irving was the same thing as the lake monster and Salazar

Wesker 1 was the same as Krauser

Wesker 2 was justsmaller more lethal version of Saddler

The Gigante was only different because you were on a gun but was just as easy

Uroburos 1&2 was just like Salazar's guards

Uroburos 3 was the only boss that doesnt have a similiar counter part from 4 but to be honest that was more of a set peice. Hell all the bosses were basically set peices.

as for the weapons, the mounted machine gun was overkill on the gigante i'll give you that. but the flame thrower didnt actually damage uroburos for jack it just would slow it down or pop out its weak spot. and the LTD was meant to give you a big gun to fight a big boss. Just like the flamethrower it was optional, not a must have. Me and my friends fight her off without it all the time.

like i said man if you didnt find them fun then thats all there is too it. but for people who havent played it yet your making it sound like the game just gives you the easy win and you cant choose to do it any other way

I agree to an extent but I thought they succeeding in at least making the boss battles a lot of fun rather then an exercise in frustration The boss on the circular platform was my favorite though too

I haven't played the game yet, so I have no clue about the difficulty of the bosses.. But I do have a question for some of you. I see some of you mentioning Jill.. Can any of you elaborate on Jill?

Chris is looking for Jill, who was presumed dead, for most of the game after seeing a picture that looks like her in relation to his mission. Turns out Jill is being controlled by Wesker.

they will be. I have only done the first 2 missions on pro and it is not easy. Although the executioner and the 1st uroburos monster were 1 hit kill with the rocket launcher. Just getting through the levels is tough because it is basically 1 hit kills on you.

Thanks!!! I was hoping you all were talking about Jill Valentine... She's my favorite Resident Evil charcater. I think that just gave me another reason to buy this.. Although I was initially turned off because of Capcom's audacity to charge for the so-called "dlc". But that's a entirely different topic and I rather not get started. Anyways, thanks for the info.. It was greatly appreciated!!!

Capcom decided to go with more "cinematic" boss battles which wasnt a very good idea. But my favorite one was probably the Jill fight.

On normal difficulty the bosses are retardedly easy to beat and you're right about the while unlimited ammo thing. Turrets on the boat, laser gun thing with the big uroburos monster, and on the other bosses theres just infinitely spawning ammo. Only boss that gave me any trouble was the first part of the Wesker battle when you have too shoot the rocket at him. Took me forever to figure that one out.

No boss fight ever could beat the Knife Fight, yeah it wasn't really a boss battle but it was badass. I also cant think of any RE5 bosses that were better than the Village Chief battle in RE4, it may have just been the whole fighting in a burning barn thing. But for the people saying play it on pro, that makes no sense because its not like the bosses get new strategies or new moves or anything. Its just one hit kills you, which is fustrating not really challenging.

actually anytime i play a game on a harder difficulty it makes it much more fun. i hate being able to fly through a game on easy. i'd much rather have a more intense battle on a higher difficulty.

whats bosses outside of RPG's these days actual present challenges. There isnt a single boss fight that i can remember that was a "challenege". When something is frustrating that's because you cant beat it easily. hence, making it hard. What bosses have ever been just challenging and not frustrating making it harder?

I am Pissed cause i didnt get my Infinate Rock Launcher on Veteran because of that. Took me 1 hour to figure it out and another 30 mins on stage 2
