So Gears of Wars goes to PC, so what?

So Gears of War with abit of extra content goes to PC. Been there done that who cares?

Can you honestly say you are going to care about a few extra levels when your playing Halo 3 and GTA IV (2 games which the PC does not have)

Xbox 360 is also getting Gears of War 2, which has not yet been confirmed for PC. So who cares!? The PC people can play there Gears of War with extra content while we are playing Halo 3, GTA IV and Gears of War 2!

Also im sure the majority of the world would not have a PC capable of playing Gears of War. It will only be the super nerds with no life and suped up computers playing Gears for PC. Playing Gears online with a 256k internet connection would be impossible. So stop whining that Gears goes to PC, I have just given lots of reasons here not to care.

if gears of war 2 was coming out this year it wud have been announced so therefor u will probably be finished with you halo 3's and gta's and if u dont care why do u let it get to you unless your jealous or sumthing

An Xbox 360 is a low end to mid, PC according to epic, so when you remember 17 million + DX10 GPUs have been sold, more people can run GeOW than 360 users.

not to mention your PC internet connection is the same as your 360... so what the hell was with the 256k comment.

GTA IV will come to PC, like every other GTA.... I mean its birthplace was on PC.

Halo 3 will porbably some to PC aswell, though late 8 at the earliest. (like Halo CE gap).

Besides the PC GeoW gets all those chapters (5 its as much as the original), editor, and user conent.

Its a win win for PC gamers.

I mean Tim Sweeney said it AGES ago, hell the 360s hardware was outdated pretty quickly after its realease. Thanks to the affordibilityof the new Dx10 cards, and bargin bin priced high end Dx9 cards, the 360 is a low end PC. Hell 2gb of DDR2 in PCs is now the norm, as is dual core processors. Not to mention everything is soo dirt cheap :P

I feel ripped off too about the extra content, i've been a very loyal consumer when it comes to the 360. I loved gears of war, but felt it was a little short with only 5 chapters, then to find out that Eidos is giving it an additional 5 chapters. 2x the gameplay it seems, once again for being loyal one gets screwed in the arse by the companies we support. Eidos so far is in my bad books for now with this move. Though of course it won't have a large impact in the future purchase of their next titles. Hopefully they will release an expansion pack on live for those of us who want the full experience of GOW.Jono69830

Wow... um.. ok? Gears Of War on the PC will have ALOT of extra content. If it does well in the PC, they'll most likely put Gears 2 on the PC as well. And since all of the Halo's have come out on pc previously, it's most likely H3 will be on the PC eventually as well. And I also think all the GTA's have come out on the PC thus far as well, and once more... the new one will probably come out on there as well.

... Even if they don't, I really don't give a **** because there's ALOT of great games exclusive to the PC.

I also forgot to mention that emulating games nowadays will almost become obsolete due to the type of technology consoles are.Heres aperfect example theres still no xbox emulator and those that tryed fail due to the diffculty to get them games on that type of technology to run on a pc.Now that proccesors are getting advance on consoles getting pcs to emulate this is super diffcult and Im more then sure no pc is emulating these systems anytime soon.Also theres no pc more powerful and cleverly design then consoles due to they custom builts for eg no hdr impact, no surround sound impact , no impact at high resolutions ect. on the console rather then a pc struggling to achieve that not only that consoles do splitscreen with up to 4players achieveing great performance throughout.I dont even think developers are eveing taking full advantage of duel cores let alone quad cores are breaking through the pc market(You ever heard the statement use the best of what yougot, well pcs are failing at this point) only game worth defending for on pc is Crysis let alone thats one fps out of a big ratio on consoles that offers better gameplay with on par techincal graphics with better artstyle for eg Killzone 2 or even Haze.Please bud you need to realize that pc gaming is becoming obsolete and in the future consoles will be above pcs having developers build they game on consoles rather then pcs just look at unreal tournament 3 it was built on console technology and that is just a start for the future of developing on consoles.So please look at this from a 3rd perspective and lay off the fanboyism and btw Im a pc gamer but consoles are alot better and do what they do best and thats satisfaction for your buck.OoSuperMarioO

Simply hook a PC up to a HD TV - or any tv at that - sit on the couch and play.....

And I can say the same about your 360 exclusives. I dont give a toss about Blue Dragon, which some people are exited about - and has the potential to score well - and you dont give a toss about lets say - Hell Gate London. I meanvice versa.

ANd yes most of the time these PC exclusives are the best... I mean PC gets the most exclusive AAAs and AAs every year... So thats facts right at ya. If you like them - thats personal taste.

So playing a 'well known popular game' makes you better, than I could go off and play Counter Strike or CS Source with the other 13.5 million steam users out there. Or if I was intto MMOs I could play WoW with the other 8.5+ million users out there.

Yea shop around a bit and im sure you can build a great custom PC for under a grand!

But yea defitnaly the 6600 and a 8800 320 is the way to go. And make sure you get a good mobo, beleive me its always worth spending that little extra ;)

As ive said many times before - surpisingly PC gaming isnt that expensive - you have just got to know what to buy, and where to get it :P

Also another recommendation with a new PC rig is using it on a HD TV, as the 8800 is more than enough to output 1080p, or 720p if you swing that way :)
